Transfering Shadow files

Hey if i wanted to use just the shadow part of someones global file AND put it into my global file, How do i do that?
what files control the shadows?

the global controls the shadows

open the shadows you want with the global lighting tool
copy the values down
open the global you want the shadows in, paste the values in.
