Creating a Legend on the fly coaching

I can't use the d-pad left or down options, only the right and up.
Anyone having the same issue? It only happens on creating a legend as far as I've found out, I can't use any of those tactics like pressure shooters but I can choose defensive sets per example. Is this normal?
