How to call plays?

I have been really trying it for a days,i have been watching tutorials,using google but they say,press lb,icons shoudl appear above player's head and then press the button you want,but wtf ifi i do that i just pass to this player,i think and hope it's easy to call plays for speceific player i want but i just don't know how to do it,thanks for help in advance

really?? anyway, just press LB but don't hold onto it. if you hold it, it will trigger the direct passing icons.

I'd also suggest turning on the full play displays if you haven't already. It'll give you a better idea of your movement and passing options.
