depends on if you want a ready built championship team or a challenge to start from nothing and work your way up.

any favorite players, play styles, how much of a challenge you want, anything?
Opinions are my own.

I'm relatively new to NBA 2K12 ,but i wouldnt like a real big team like Heat,Lakers or Mavs etc,but i would like a franchise player ,around whom i can build the team with numerous trades and maybe even some draftees.

the Warriors with Ellis and Lee would be good to build around,
the Grizzlies with Rudy Gay and a pretty good supporting cast,
the Jazz or Nets with Harris/Deron Williams,
Trailblazers building around Roy and maybe a healthy Oden,
and the Clippers with Blake Griffin

those would be my suggestions.

Actually i was thinking, would it the Heat be an interesting game? LBJ is my favourite player , when i did a few simulated associations , i noticed that they only had like 5-6 players secured for the next season during the draft.

if you are unsure which one you want to try first, I'd recommend doing a 14 game season as a "test" run with the Heat or another team. Just so you can learn the mode a little bit before you play full seasons.

Also, you can control multiple teams at a time if you want.

same as my problem here in looking at a new association team. :) try sacramento. It has lots of cap space where you can get a new franchise player or make Tyreke a superstar :)

You can try Pacers too. danny granger can be a star there too and try to build up hibbert and collison

I'm enjoying my Heat association atm. I do everything, besides playing, pretty much like a GM irl.I have 7 titles in 9 seasons(includes 2 NBA Finals losses),LBJ left us after our 2nd title and Wade is already 36-37 years old.Thinking of leaving Heat now and taking some other job on.
