Custom portrait for your created player

Hi guys. I'm new here, but I saw this done on NBA 2k11. My brother had his own portrait in the game, so whenever they would show a stat, or make a sub, his picture would show up, instead of just a phantom face or a blank space in 2k12's case. I was wondering, is there a patch for this already available for download? If not, would it be OK to request for that? Thanks guys! Loving all the patches being released here. Makes the game even more fun to play!

By the way, the portrait does not appear only in my player mode, but association as well.

he probably edited the main portrait file. I have done it with multiple players and roster on 2k10 but with 2k12 I'm just using the chinese trainer to give myself 2k generated portrait so i don't have to bother photoshopping it. It saves alot of time. There is a forum post with the instructions if I remember it I will post it.

Thanks man. That would be really great! This is my first time playing nba 2k for the PC, so I'm quite excited with all the patches available

lol yeah the game generated that name when I went to create a player. I had a good laugh too.

I don't have any looks but will look for some... I learned on my own for the most part because the tutorial I looked at a year ago all sucked at the time. Their maybe new ones up now though. All I really do is edit the cf already created and add my faces to them in photoshop.

Ok guys I am currently working on cf's for you guys but the hard part is finding a current player in the game with the same head shape as you.
I used kevin love's head on the last cf and Dorrel wright's on the first one. Since I can't edit the actual 3d headshape it's hard for me to really get the models to look just like the people I'm making. So if you have sent me a request send me the name of the player who's headshape you think resembles yours.

So basically which ever model we pick, you can really change his eyes shape or nose shape or brow length/thickness?

The head shape is really important as shown below.
I used the same facial texture in both cases

Left - using sasha palvovic's head shape (also made the skin darker)
Right - using kevin love's head shape

once we are able to edit the 3d head shapes then we can actually customize any head to fit our own shape

I don't think this one looks that much like the pic but I couldn't find a better shape... Used Jermaine O'neal's headshape
It's probably closer than using an actual created player option
