Need help hex editing for 360

Postby FiZzO on Tue Oct 11, 2011 3:34 am

Can someone please tell me how to properly assign the Ewing's knicks' home jersey to the current Knicks (by replacing one of the retros), with modern era short length and correct neckline? I asked hokupguy over at OS forums, but it still doesn't work for me, I was told to come here. I'm new to hex editing, so far have only changed acc colors and swapped current jerseys with current jerseys. Would be completely awesome if someone could do it for me but I'm totally fine if I just get the right directions. Thanks!

find
u.a.0.1.4
u.h.0.1.4

and change them to
u.a.5.6.0
u.h.5.6.0

that should be it

I can't find those values in HxD hex editor,It's all just hexadecimal numbers and text strings on the side. Do I need to use Hex workshop?

Is that the whole jersey code? Am I gonna have the retro jersey assigned to current knicks just by changing those six values or are those just for the short length/necklines? I had never went that far down the code, I was just messing around with the jersey codes (like 01 40 D0 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 0E).

Edit: Nevermind, it worked! It replaced the current jerseys though, but it shouldn't be hard to find the retro ones. Thanks a lot, Jao, guess I should come here more often lol.

no problem man, glad to help

this thread might be helpful

the retros are the r1h files, which is a problem since you cannot change the length of what you edit. ua014 doesn't have the same amount of characters as r1a014

Could I change 2k china team's home jersey to uh560, since im never gonna use that team, then find the jersey and change its team code to 000E and have it as a different home jesey for ny and leave an empty jersey for 2k china, assuming the sizes match? at school now so cant try it and dont know the codes also, just theoretically..

yes, you can do that if you can find the GiD in the jersey section and make the change you said.

Well, kind of worked, but I'm getting D-fenders logos everywhere (changed their jerseys because I didn't want to look for those 2k teams jerseys). Sigh, guess I'll just have to wait for the REDitor.

you can't

if you were on PC, you could rename the file for the extra character, but you cannot do that. Retro uniforms however, like r1a### have the same amount of characters as uh####
