Minimum PC System Requirements (OFFICIAL)

"For PC players, the minimum specs for #NBA2K12 are the same as last year."

With that here are last year's minimum requirements

Minimum System Requirements:
CPU: Pentium 4 2.4 Ghz Single Core processor or equivalent (2.8 Ghz for Vista)
RAM: 512 MB or more (1 GB for Vista)
Disc Drive: 8x or faster DVD drive
Hard Drive: 10.5 GB or more free space
Video: DirectX 9.0c compatible (see below)
Sound: DirectX 9.0c compatible
Input: Keyboard or dual-analog gamepad
Video card with 128 MB or more memory and one of the following chipsets is required:
ATI x1300 or greater;
NVIDIA 6600 or greater;
DirectX 9.0c compatible card with Shader Model 3.0 support.
Important Note: Game requires Internet connection for activation

why 2K not trying upgrade their graphics, using DirectX 11 maybe? so the game will look more ..

Because the consoles use a DX9 feature set equivalent. They have more important issues with the PC port, namely the online actually working and the generic shoes/socks. Plus headbands.

DX11 NBA 2k11. I'll pity myself and other people who don't have a strong PC.-.-

has this been stated or confirmed, cause the pics look good, but i find it hard to believe, the game will look like that for pc? last year version i think it was missing some kind of shaders or something, outside of the music editor? maybe someone can tweet Ron on this info?

Yeah! No upgrade needed. Just I need a bit improvement for my CPU.

Well, last year, as i remember, there were missing shadows, music editor and, talking 'bout sound, the quality was awful.
Oh, yeah, the online graphics were only 'low'.

LOL. They didn't even change the menu style. Same as 2k10.lol. Hopefully this year, it's different.

They did it because they felt it was more PC friendly. I would've preferred the console's menu myself, if not something like the menus we had way back with the PC versions of NBA Live 2000 and 2001.

It was awesome simplicity. Especially for Live 2001, even a caveman familiar with basketball and PC will get what those symbols mean.

Yeah, I don't know what EA was thinking using the gibberish in 2000's menus.

But I definitely like Live 2001's menus.

will nba 2k12 run in a 64 bit OS? Cause i want to upgrade my os to 64 bit so that i can upgrade my ram to 8 gig
