The following players have been adjusted to the Shaq package. Credit goes to RyanFitzmagic over at OS.

After experimenting with "Dwight Howard" (too athletic) and "None" (inability to perform a standing dunk), I decided on "S. O'Neal" for Brandon Bass.

I know some might be hesitant to give this package to anyone because of the one-hand dunk followed by the gorilla walk, but I went into practice and dunked about 30 times from a standing position under the basket, and I didn't see a single one-handed dunk, let alone the gorilla walk. This package's standing dunks don't get a lot of elevation, but the dunks are still powerful.

I would highly recommend Shaq's dunk package for any low-jumping, strong, two-hand dunkers.

i was wondering a little about Noah and Gibsons respective packages. Both players seem to have an awful lot of one handed slams were as in alot of the games i have watched this year both seem to prefer dunking the ball with two. so what was the reasoning behind there packages. not trying to debate you just trying to learn to be able to do my own edits and not have to rely on others in later games

A little suggestion here. Athletic guard dunk pack isn't bad for Durant, but he doesn't do quick two-hander so often. With athletic guard ,that dunk happens a lot. 2K gave him Wesley Johnson's, which has the same problem, every dunk was fine except the two-handed windmill.(that also happens very often)
I think most of Durant's dunks are strong one-handers off one foot. What do you think would suit him? Pippen's seems nice, imo

Scrap Pippen, I tested it myself. Way too much elevation, way too "Jordan-esque". Now I'm testing Melo's for him, some nice one-hander, the main dunk is the close range two-handed quick dunk, which is something he would do rather than a gliding two-hander.

I'm pretty sure its Josh Smith, because he has his own jumper J.R. does not. if jr had his own it would be labeled 'J.R. Smith'

i agree when they 1st intro'd it into the game i thought it was JR's too b/c J.Smoove doesnt do dunk like that, he is more power than flashy. But your right its probably a 2k oversight.

by the way....i dont really get why you would change dunk ratings... when you can just change the dunk/layup tendency

change the tendency to correspond with how many dunks that player actually got this year. anyone over 100 total dunks should be set at a 99 so that they will try to dunk 99% of the time.

just saying it makes more sense.

^ Because dunk tendency has nothing to do with how often the player dunks when the CPU is controlled by them.

Also the rating determines the ability of the dunks to happen in traffic. So basically the higher rated dunkers will be dunkers that are going to dunk in traffic.

The ratings and the tendencies need to be edited.

Tendency = Frequency
Rating = Ability, Likelihood (cousin of frequency/tendency)

It is a proven system that has been established for years.

To the young man that responded right above me: Another reason why editing dunk ratings is needed is for 2 player face to face games. If someone like Stephen Jackson is highly overrated in terms of dunk ability, he will have the ability to be used in a way that isn't realistic. So that is why I lower the dunk ratings in the first place because it is too easy to dunk as it is now. So again, if you want super realism then editing dunk ratings is needed.

couldnt you just set the sliders lower for dunk ratings both human and cpu and make it a global edit instead? dunk success is set at 50 by default and there's hardly ever a missed attempt. so if you lower it all the way to say 1% every dunk still goes in or what?

I don't want to globally edit something that is already wrong from the jump. No, more needs to be done. The abilities (rating) are off from the jump. So lowering the slider won't change that. It will just change the scale. I want the dunk abilities for each player changed and perfected. I want the dunk tendencies (which ties into the rating) to be perfected. I also want to see missed dunks which is why I lowered the dunk success slider to 47. So even though you think this is a pointless thing it isn't.
