Your Player (2K12 Edition!)

Got my first start and a center spot on a billboard with the starting 5 on it.. Vince Carter disappeared. It turned out he got injured for the season with a sore knee. I hit the game wining shot and got potg. Fun times!

Dude funny that I just hit my first game winning shot as well with 0.3 seconds on the clock after my shot. Nash was about to take a garbage shot as he got trapped by the double of Marion and Kidd near the top of the key but I called for pass at the right moment and wide open jumper...splaaaaash.

And Vince Carter was injured in my team as well but luckily he came back. We have been winning games ever since he came back and I have been playing smarter and better as well.

I think we are now 7-8.

BTW. I have not yet heard anyone saying they got interviewed by the Trailblazers or several other teams. Point guards seem like they have only 3 teams interested in them. Houston, Suns and Utah.

As a SF I got interviewed by Wizzards, Knicks and T-Wolves. Considering that the T-Wolves have really enough SFs and that the Knicks already builded a team around 'Melo Amar'e it seemed not very logical...
I meanwhile started my second game as SF with 'Melo came off the bench, despite 'Melo and Amar'e were both healthy...

Started my first My Player for 2K12, once again going with a 6'3" guard to start things off. I have a feeling I'll be starting over as a big man.

Amare hitting threes in our game against the Knicks. Ridiculous.

I know the feeling. Playing a 6'7" starting SG in Houston and Durant just went 5-6 on 3PT FG with 28 pts in the 1st half. I ended up rotating to guard Durant and Westbrook becomes Larry Bird. I usually don't touch the sliders on NBA 2K, but it's pretty ridiculous and will probably end up moving the 3 PT slider down a few notches.

I have a feeling I will end up starting a new one, too. There are only 3 rookies in the game.

I am starting to enjoy it more as I increase my speed and quickness, since I get a bit more control over the general movement.

Yes, of course. I should've phrased my question a little better. I meant simulate like in 2K11 ... where you could simulate any game towards the ones you wanted to play. Not only being limited to the same key games in a season.

Decided things just weren't working out the way I was playing so I decided to do nothing but take pull-up threes.The result: 87 points (!) in my final game with the Bucks, before they honored my trade request and sent me to an already gutted Blazers team for Aldridge. My scoring rampage has gotten me up to 27 PPG.

My teammates suck again but are an improvement. No idea how so many assets were lost, but the lineup is me, Matthews, Paul George, Tayshaun Prince and Greg Oden with sixth man Raymond Felton. After leaving the Bucks at 12-30, I play my first game with a 22-24 Blazers side.

Yeah it pretty much ruins it. Every 3-5 games a starter has been traded for somebody else. There's no real strategy or reason to the deals either. The Bucks, who I started with, have only Keyon Dooling remaining from the original roster, and the trade deadline is still a few game weeks away. Now, I get myself traded to a team that thought Gerald Wallace + Nic Batum for Paul George + TJ Ford was a good move.

Have improved my D, and now that I do nothing but take pull-up threes, I get an A+ teammate grade, score efficiently and threaten Wilt's 100 every game. 3pt rating is 99 and D never catches on to me passing it like 5 times a game so things work out. Went 29/62 from behind the arc in my final game with Milwaukee.

Already playing Simulation Mode on all-star difficulty, but I may need to raise the difficulty again so I can have complete closure in finally "beating" My Player mode.

you know what i think im gonna just play create a legend mode instead of my player until a patch comes out. Bunch of BS trades are gonna ruin the experience of incorporating myself into a team instead just being one of the many that are coming in and out

Does Create A Legend not have the problem? Seems like it still would, being essentially the same mode as My Player, but I might be wrong.

From what I've seen both modes are pretty much the same so I'd expect those trades not only in MP but also in CAL and of cause in association...

I have not really experienced those trade issues. I'm about 20 games in the season and the only trade that has happened was that the pacers traded collison to the blazers for oden.

I got drafted by the Warriors and they proceeded to trade David Lee for Maurice Speights. Then Monta Ellis and Stephen Curry for Marcus Thorton and Demarcus Cousins. I want trades but these make no sense.

Yeah but I wouldt mind playing with different teammates at all. Lamarcus Aldridge is all I care about in that mode and stat padding with him to make him the greatest. I dont care much about who comes in or out. As long as they are not making freaky trades every 20 games or so.

my team now is on a slump with 7-9 and Im now on the starting lineup. David Lee is still injured that is why we are weak in the interior defense as wright is playing PF for us.

Im starting to like playing alongside stephen curry though im wishing monta will be traded to a strong big man. He is such a ballhog

Still liking MP mode, I still havent played any association or legends. I havent experienced the trade bugs though.

Quick question, if there are only 3 rookies stated in the MP mode, does this means the only 3 of us will play on the Rookies vs Sophomores in the All star game?

I'm playing with the Knicks for 15 games now and Amar'e does not shot 3s often.
Anyway big men shoting 3s is an issue for 2k12 as Dwight Howard tried 2 3s when I played against the Magic...

i know i said i was going to try to stick with houston for the remainder of my contract...
that didn't happen. the trades they were making were real annoying and i didn't like the lineup at all. not to mention we were losing. a lot.

so i put in a trade request for cleveland, portland, and orlando. cleveland ans san antonio were originally the teams listed as being interested in me so i thought i was going to be headed to cleveland. after playing a game and returning to the my trades area, portland was now added to the teams that were interested in me.

POR trades larmarcus aldridge to HOU for patrick patterson and myself

i'm assuming that CLE didn't have the pieces to put together a trade. kind of bummed about that, but oh well.

i was starting to put up ridiculous numbers in houston.

i think from now on i'm only going to play key games. i've upped my game's minutes to 10 to keep the scores realistic, but i can't be bothered to play every single game.

Finally David Lee is back in action and he played superb during our last game vs the twolves. We also played our best game of the season and we won and I was the Jordan Player of the game 24pts, 3reb 7asst 2stls 5-8 3pt shooting. Now we are 9-9 and 8th in standing.

Then suddenly the day after....... GS David lee and 2013 2nd pick traded for SAC marcus thornton!

Now our team looks like midgets playing againts the big dogs. huhuhu! Good luck to me on my next game later.
