Talk about NBA 2K12 here.

The color is straight from the nba. Remember EA? Same shit. Its the combination of lighting, rendering and monitors that cause red to be pink, dark blue to be light purple, green to be way off, etc.

I think the red background still works for the Bird and Magic covers, though a green Bird cover and purple and gold Magic cover would've been cool.

Totally getting the Larry Legend one. Anybody knows whats the difference between them all?
Wait, My question is, Are the limited edition ones any different than the Jordan one exept for the Cover?
Fri Jul 22, 2011 6:38 pm
No,we said already there are no differences between versions.
Fri Jul 22, 2011 6:40 pm
Well, thats pointless. Thanks.

Not really. Some people love Larry Legend more than MJ.
Fri Jul 22, 2011 11:01 pm
Exactly. It's pointless if you buy the digital download version or don't care at all about the cover but if you're after a collectible of sorts, you've got a couple of extra choices this year.
Fri Jul 22, 2011 11:09 pm
Well if you take it as a collectable way, then yes. I honestly dont care about the cover, if its a good game, I will still buy it. Are their any kind of price differentials too?
Now that I think of it, I do have to eat my words. If MJ one is the template, then I honestly like the Larry Legend one more.. Got me there
Fri Jul 22, 2011 11:14 pm
Nope. Same price, same game with the same features, there'll just be some limited edition alternate covers at release. Those with a preference can seek out a copy with the cover they want, those without a preference can just pick up whatever they get or buy a digital copy.

Wow I like all three. I wish there was just one cover with all three of them on it. The design is nice too. Idk if it's just me but it kind of remind me of Dragon Ball Z characters when they power up.

How hard is it for them to make an insert that can fold different ways to display the player you would prefer? It would probably be cheaper than printing different designs.

The Jordan version really is the best

I might get the Magic or Bird one just for the sake of getting a cover with a different player on it.
Tue Jul 26, 2011 1:44 am
i think i'll just print the covers.

Go to Georgia Tech, become a rap- oh wait
Fri Jul 29, 2011 11:20 am
You'd buy three copies of the game?
Fri Jul 29, 2011 8:01 pm
I'd just slip the covers out at the store and run
Sat Jul 30, 2011 7:42 am
Why not just wait for a media site to release a high quality image of the covers and just print it?
Who needs covers with digital download? It's not like they will change the main screen of the game to match the cover you buy.
Sat Jul 30, 2011 12:31 pm
It's the collector's mentality, I guess. I don't have anything against digital downloads at all but all the same I'm a fan of having a cover and physical disc in my collection.

Nah I think its about time they pay attention to the old school, the games back then were not that great and a lot of there names were not in the game
so I am glad to see these three on the covers they deserve it all of them have won NBA championships multiple times dirk needs one more for me to give him that right
