What have you been playing in 2K12?

It's been 3 weeks since the release of the game, just curious as to what modes everyone has been playing consistently since the game came out.

Personally, I've been playing a lot of Quick Games and a couple Associations (one street, one with rookies). I did start a My Player, and I completed (legitimately) the NBA Greatest mode, but I haven't gone back to either yet. I did a Playoffs with half classic and half modern teams that is currently in the conference finals (1-1-3-3 format). I've barely touched that disaster of a Blacktop mode though....I usually played 3v3 in past games.

Sine 2k10 I've played MP mode 100% of the time. I just enjoy that mode a ton.

i''m in the 2016-2017 season in association... Kobe's 21 years pro & just had his 1st non 20 + season since his bench days.

I had NBA 2K10, but didn't buy 2K11. So for now, I'm just trying to get used to the controls and get used to the multitude of moves. I worked my way through training mode and now I'm just either playing the quick games and the Legend Showcase. I want to improve at the game before I begin My Player and hoping the lockout ends so I can get the rookies in there before I start it.

Mostly NBA's Greatest and My Player so far, though I've simmed through an Association and played a number of games in Quick Game and Association to get a feel for everything.

mostly played quick games...mainly because of roster...havent found a good roster yet to start a serious association...

although i have a 14-game Lakers association just to familiarize myself with the mode...

i have a my player that i havent touched since playing the showcase...

i have a create a legend that i havent touched also after game 1...

i havent completed a single game in NBA Greatest mode....

havent tried the other modes...

having a good experience so far...havent noticed the defense bug posted by Smoove on youtube though...

Vast majority of my time split about equally between My Player and Association, with a few quick games in there. Gave the other modes a look.

I've been playing My Player Mode for almost a week, but when I got traded to the Nuggets I stopped playing it. Right now I've spent almost 3 days playing the training camp mode, mastering my post moves.

MP mode, then I got to the 2nd season and it got boring quick. Too repetitive.

Haven't really played much, no NBA season really curbs my interest.

- Started a My Player but got bored cause of Trade logic and my coach (4 Centers on Court against 5 Guards...yay)
- Played a few greatest games but got bored during the game so I have not completed any of them
- Association with Rookies brought 2nd most fun to me. First i played/simmed 2 seasons with TWolves, then I started one with Cavaliers.
- The thing I liked most until now: Smooth Online games! Just had 5 (or so) of them, but they made a lot of fun. Double OT against Dallas with Buzzer Beater by Paul George. That was nice!

my player mode though i am planning to play association starting today due to the trade logic and weird rotations.

greatest games - played this mode from time to time. quite challenging if you ask me

Greatest is the only game mode that doesn't need immediate patching. It pisses me off though XD

Same here. I did Jordan's twice yet there's nothing being completed.

I'm still getting the hang of the game, so I still am scouring to Quick Games and My Player.

2k11 had that issue.When Eric Gordon and Josh Childress are my 4 and 5, there isn't much success in containing Yao Ming, Darko Milicic, and Dirk Nowitzki. It's stuff like that I really wish 2k12 would have fixed, but apparently they haven't, so no 2k12 for me.

I want to say My Player but I haven't really played much. The gameplay logic on the game is too frustrating. Too many open shots, horrible trade logic and rotations and a lot more others. I tried playing quick games vs my brother and my cousin but all of us got frustrated w/ the game because of all the issues.

Association mode with fantasy draft. The less you can allow control to the CPU on this game the better. Atleast I wont do BS trades with CPU and even if other CPU teams do BS trades amongst themselves, the already different fantasy draft rosters wont make it feel too off putting. Plus not to mention no more 4 dumbass teammates playing defense.

Have not played much but have played 2 games in NBA Greatest mode. Lost both games with John Stockton Jazz and the Wilt Chamberlain Lakers.

Yeah, that was the Reason why I have not played much My Player in 2k11.

For years, as in since NBA Showdown 94, all I ever played was quick match-ups, and when the feature was introduced, associations.

Around '03 I suddenly had more family duties, and couldn't hook up with mates as often for quick match-ups. I'd had about 2 head to head games per year since then.

This year I went and bought an X-Box 360 with 2K11. Now I've bought 2K12 and a laptop (didn't have a home PC until then) and just about all I play is online. I've set up an association, and played about 4 My Player games. (I spent a lot of time on My Player on 2K11)

so far, mostly quick games with current rosters and teams mixed with legend players. i will start playing the Association this January when the NBA lockout is over.
