NBA 2K12 Question

Hey, I'm not a huge basketball fan but picked up 2k12 for my PS3 because it looked interesting. Anyways, I have a question: how do I control just ONE team in Season or Association Mode(s)? I want to play through a season, but I don't want to control all 30 teams, and I don't want to mess with players or draft or anything like that, is this possible? Just, play the games of a season for one team, and let the CPU sim everything else? I've gone into both Season and Association Modes, and I just want to play through the season as the Mavs, but everytime I want to play the next game, I have to sit there and select, "sim game," for EVERY other game that's going on, and EVERY injury that happens, can I change this? Absolutely. Selecting just one team in Association is the default option, so you must have elected to control all other teams when starting your Association game.

Aha yes! I don't know what I thought it meant by "number of players." I should've known, thank you very much and sorry for such a noob question!
