its not that i dont know how to make green maps but, thenormal map plug in is not working for me

Since I don't know what graphics program you use, I can tell you that PSP and Photoshop have adjustment layers. A hue/saturation/lightness layer above the bump map layer can be used to tint it green. A color balance layer can be used. In Photoshop the channel layers may be used.
