Hello guys !

I'm a French player, formerly on PS3 and 360 consoles.
I participated at French leagues, I love too NBA 2K, very interested through the simulation gameplay.
I love your website/forum that I follow since a long moment.
I would buy a new PC to play with you.

Can you to talk me this version PC ?
Because I do not know what it worth...
Is that worth it to invest for a PC, Is that the game is totaly different... etc...

Thanks :)

NBA 2K for the PC does not have very good online play. It uses lower quality models and textures, and getting the PC version to play online would not be a smart decision. The game itself is not much different, although people have stated that it plays differently, I have not noticed any difference, owning both the console version and the pc version. The only graphical difference is that the console version has a special shadowing technique called screen-space-ambient-occlusion, or SSAO. It's not such an important feature, as 2K's graphics overall are not that great compared to other games, and there are mods for the PC version that can change the lighting and shadowing, so that is not a big deal.

My personal opinion is that you should not buy a PC just to play NBA 2K. If you have other uses for a PC such as other games you might want to play, browsing internet content, and other things that computers are useful for, then it is well worth the investment. However, when buying a PC you need to keep in mind that the technology moves pretty fast. Simply getting a desktop for 400-500(US dollars) can get you playing games now, but for future games it could end up worthless. Paying 1000+(US dollars) on a computer with a solid video card, fast memory, SSD hard drive and a good multicore processor and motherboard will have you running games well for the next couple of years, and since individual components of PC's can be upgraded, you don't have to buy a brand new PC to play the latest games when your PC gets out dated.
