why is my 2k like this?

i have 2 nba 2k12 folder with same patches and mods. and i run the game at radeonpro with maxed out settings. but when i run the other nba 2k12 the fps is only at 30+ when i run the other one it runs at 70+. why is the other one so low? when they both have the same settings.

I don't understand why you would have the same patches and mods in two different 2K installations, but the only thing I can think of is that one installation is on a part of the hard drive that can be loaded faster than the other one. You could try to defragment the hard drive of the slower 2K12 installation and see if the performance improves at all.

both are at the same local disk and the night before i ran both and it was smooth. the next day the other one drops the fps at 30+ and the other one still at 70+. i made a duplicate so when i apply patch next time there is a backup and sometimes when i dunk it crashes and the controller vibrates nonstop
