i do not yet have these capabilities, but I've heard that 2K has done a good job with the 3D this year and last year.
Opinions are my own.

I love it. The only thing I don't like is because of my tv. When I put it in 3d mode, there is input lag that makes it almost impossible to hit release points on shots. It's almost as bad as online play. Also it cuts the horizontal resolution in half, lowering the quality. However, seeing the depth makes it easier to gauge the angles on drives, blocks and rebounds while using a broadcast angle. Replays and closeups look especially nice.

My biggest gripe is that the 3d menu is absent in my player. I would probably have to make a new my player game with 3d on for the setting to carry over. Or do some cheat engine hackery, but it's not that important. If my tv did not have the lag, I would play with 3D on exclusively. I hope they continue to have the 3D option and add other 3D formats like AMD HD3D, interleaved(my tv's native mode, which would add no lag) and Nvidia vision.
