Association Unrealistic

Postby corysmart on Tue Mar 27, 2012 5:28 am

I feel that NBA 2K12's association has quite a few problems that make it unrealistic.
PF/C FG% will drop really fast as years past because the 3pt tendency increases.
"New" PF/C that are drafted never score more than 10 points a season for some reason.
All teams progress the same leading to a 99 ovr team being 15th overall in the league.
Does anyone know fixes for these problems?

well i'm not sure if you can prevent some tendencies to increase or decrease. probably not. but you shouldn't use cpu generated rookies, find some real draft classes, i believe leon40 has made some great ones, also there're fictional draft classes with more logic in players ratings and tendencies ;) and you know, i believe what this game lacks is retiring and decreasing of ratings due to injuries.. like who could thought years ago that players like s.francis, m.yao, b.roy, g.arenas, t.mcgrady, a.iverson, g.oden (#1 overall pick!) will retire or make little impact to the game..

What wasn't fixed by the official patch will need to wait until NBA 2K13, unfortunately.

I know I used leon40's draft classes its the same. Even blake griffin scoring drops from his rookie and never goes back up.

Maybe they should just focus NBA 2k13 more on association. I think its the right time. There are many association players out there and it would be more beneficial in the long run rather than making NBA legends their main selling whatever.

It wouldn't surprise me if it does get a bit more attention in NBA 2K13. With the lockout last year, it made sense to fall back on historical content as the main selling point, along with the improvements to My Player.

I never really enjoyed playing my player, but that's just me. I mean my player doesn't even look like me, but if they will add new features into it, like "game face" along with a more realistic association mode. NBA 2k13 will be a must buy for me.
