how to make pump fake less effective?

Postby Jammaster on Thu Dec 08, 2011 1:15 pm

hi,
i'm playing as a center in my player mode, all-star level, which is great overall 'cause most of the games is competetive (teams overall is 90 and we are like 15-6 in 2nd year). but one thing is bother me a lot, it seems like every time i really need to score, i just do a spin move go under the basket, pump fake, and score, or at least draw a foul. my team fg% is normal - 43-47%, but my own fg% is like over 80%, most missed shots is my own fault, not because of great defense... i have inside shot & close shot atrributes about 90, shoot in traffic is maximum, but my all post skills is average. i shouldn't be able to average 55pts no matter what. what should i do to make my own performance more realistic and more fun to play. :?:  thanks.

Since there are no sliders in my player unless you set them before you create your player, the only thing you can do is stop pump faking. Use the beautiful post moves that the game offers.

Until 2k address the issue in a patch or a later edition of nba2k, there is not much you can do about it.

well, actually i can change sliders using tsearch or cheat engine! but i don't know what to change exactly. i want to use those post moves, but after few misses i go right back to pump faking, especially when cpu hits 3 contested 3's in a fast break. lol. and c'mon, just knowing that you can win a game doesn't make you happy when you lose ;)

The sliders would only be a workaround, and they would affect other areas of the game. Basically you would have to increase the help defense, blocking, and on ball defense for the cpu, while lowering the inside scoring for the user.
