PC / Online?

Postby wisealma on Sun Oct 23, 2011 7:30 am

Has anyone with the PC version been able to play online yet? I haven't, and I am wondering if I am doing something wrong.
Thanks

I haven't had any success there either, so it's not just you.

16 Games finished via Quick Match...But it took a lot more than 50 tries. Most of them to find an opponent and then many with disconnects due to network error.

Normal waiting Time for a game was 5 minutes up to 10 minutes (then i cancled)

Haven't succeeded in playing online yet. Not enough patience I guess :D
How are the graphics?

when I played online on Day 1 it made me play on Low Quality settings again. others reported that too.
Opinions are my own.

That probably explains my lack of success. I've tended to give up after a couple of minutes or so.

I've had trouble too. Heaps of people online but it's not able to find a matchup for some reason..

Why would you buy 2K expecting it to work online? VC has no clue what they're doing.

Is the 2k server still down or is my game bugged? Since day 1 when I bought from steam, I have not been able to create account/log in telling me 2k server is "not available"

Last year the pressbook was uploaded to the community site. Given that they trashed that site for the new nba2k.com, I'd suspect it'll all be there upon release of the new site.

On a side note, I don't know what idiot wasn't able to project the site's release in sync with the game's release...

yeah i was able to upload ingame to the community site....just a bummer when you upload/share now and the game says it's ready, but it gives no other option...

thanks Bnicolas13

Stating the obvious here, but the new community site really should've been ready to go on the game's launch. Not a good move on their part to can the old site if the new one wasn't going to be ready on time.

My online experience :
- 2k Benchmark sucks. It shows 20 less FPS than i got in reality.
- Online mode has no shot timing or shot feedback options, or presentation options as a whole. Also, cameras have to be changed to your preference EVERY SINGLE GAME. Coaching settings too.
- Fraps shows that i get 30 FPS with one dude i played with, but it was a slow motion game for some reason, not 30 FPS-like.

All in all, 2K, FIX YO SHIT

I was able to play 6 pretty smooth games today. A slight lag but overall pretty smooth . Of course it cant be comparable to offline but still, it was pretty good. I guess it depends on the people u face against, some really bad connection games gave me around 15 fps...

I played some realy smooth games that were like offline! When i want to play online I start fraps so I see the FPS right at team selection. If I'm under 50 FPS then i cancel game.

Doing that too, but never get that same experience... also, has anybody tried Online Association yet? It has potential to be SUPER AWESOME when patched :D Problem is with users who are never online, yet still signed up for the league...

Seriously guys that played online, can you tell us if the settings were low?
Seems like online mode is just as broken as 2k11. :(
