Talks about Overlays, the different camera angles, hotspots, and the intros. Beluba cam sounds awesome.
Opinions are my own.

And for our younger gamers, a little history lesson about some of the great players that walked the hardwood when the NBA was in its golden years and nicknames like ‘The Stilt’ ruled the lane.

Fail.

Any dolt can throw up a stat but a story teller will give that stat an angle or point. We not only want to convey the data, but to give the data meaning. That’s what makes a stat, or stats, interesting.

Read that benji. READ IT! Give stories. GOOD ONES!

Beluba CAM

Heh. Sounds like the Multicam in Live 99?, which I greatly enjoyed. About time someone brought back something similar to that.

The HotZones were always there, and now you can see them in practice mode...The rumble will carry over to regular gameplay to remind you that you’re in the player’s Red zone. The chart, however, does not carry over into gameplay.

I would love to see them put a camera in that shows only what the controlled player sees! Sort of like what EA did with Madden a few years ago!

Good read. The 30 stadium broadcast angles, improvements to stat overlays, Beluba Cam, the variety of teasers, it all sounds great and should go a long way in contributing to the atmosphere of the game.

As for the NBA's Greatest presentation, I've said it before but I do really like that they're going with an archival perspective. It might not be 100% authentic, but I'd say it's a better compromise than pretending Kevin Harlan, Clark Kellogg and Steve Kerr are really calling the games at the time, given they were under five (or in Kerr's case, not yet born) at the time of Russell's game. I say consider it a classic game being played on NBA TV with some alternate commentary provided by contemporary broadcasters and they've modified the audio for effect.
