NBA 2K12 Demo Notes, Tomorrow’s Insight

Ronnie 2K has Tweeted some information about the NBA 2K12 demo, as well as a couple of notes on the My Player content that will be coming tomorrow.

Before my 10 AM My Player post, a couple admin things. Online Insight will be post demo, demo will be like last year, 7-14 days prelaunch

Last My Player screen tomorrow at 8 AM PST. Insight at 12 PM PST.

So I'm guessing we can expect the demo from mid-September onwards, though probably no earlier than around the 22nd.

I dont even want a demo. They ruin the current game for me but usually leave a bad taste in my mouth because of omissions and other low quality stuff they have to do because of the demo size limits.

have faith man.. I'm 2012% sure that the game is going to get perfect score for its awesomeness, I cannot wait to play Creating a Legend mode

That sucks, demo came out on the 14th last year. I, too, am not a huge fan of the stripped down demo, but I'll still play the hell out of it. I'm itching for something new.

Same here. Don't like demos if I can't get the full version instantly.

What's the point of demos since it's not the full game? [/cyanide?]

I'll check out the demo for the sake of content for the site and to get a quick feel for things but I definitely know what you mean. The stripped down NBA 2K11 demo really didn't do the full game any justice, but given the history of subpar demos to much better full versions I reckon I can give the NBA 2K12 demo a spin while trusting the game itself won't be a similar letdown.

Or at least not strip it down quite so much. While the NBA Elite 11 demo didn't exactly impress, it did show you can include a decent amount in a demo. No reason 2K couldn't have a demo with a full 12 minute quarter (with commentary), the college all-star game from My Player and the free shootaround from practice mode. That'd do more justice to the finished product.

That was another good idea prior to its inclusion last year, though it left PC gamers out in the cold and didn't get an international release on XBL/PSN.

5am EST for Xbox, ~5pm-6pm EST for PS3
