Talk about NBA 2K12 here.

So we've heard again and again that the post up stance is now triggered by the Y button in the Xbox 360 stick. But so far I haven't heard what would then happen to the Hop Step/Pro-Hop

. Has anyone heard any info about this at all? I'm curious because double crossover to spinning hop step is one of my go-to one-on-one moves in NBA 2k11. I sure hope they're not deleting the hop step, because players do use that in real life.

you can see the pro/hop step dribble in this clip performed by Tyreke Evans ,after 1:54 here

Oh yeah,
kobebryant24, I think (and hope) you're right

, hopefully that's not a regular step back jumper (the one you trigger by the shot stick alone) off a signature gather, or even the whole thing was Tyreke's own sig gather though

.

It seems unlikely they'd get rid of all those moves. It's not a new feature so they haven't made a point of mentioning it yet, it may be mapped to a different button/trigger this year.

There was an alternate controls set up a couple years ago where tapping the shoot button while moving would perform a hop step. It's possible they went back to that. Maybe they just streamlined it into the shots, but I hope not. I hope it's just a different button.

Confirmed: (to quote EA Sports) It's in the game.
