E3: NBA 2K12 Interview (Machinima)

Dynamic intros sound pretty cool, as good as the presentation in NBA 2K11 was I did find myself skipping the halftime shows, intros etc after a little while so it sounds like they'll be kept fresh a little longer. It also sounds like really going to go all out with the TV-style presentation this year, so TNT integration might not be farfetched. Interesting to see what they end up doing with the free throw system.

Sounds good, I like that they're changing the FT system as well. Gameplay-wise there isn't much I'd want changed from 2K11, just some more animations really. The improvements I want are in Association mode but it doesn't look like they're heading that way unfortunately.

I'd still like them to bring back the one button alternative to Isomotion but make it a less powerful control method, so it can't be spammed online and there's still incentive for people like me to eventually master Isomotion to really get the most out of the moves available to us. Changing the way we shoot free throws is fine by me too, I didn't mind the way it was being done before but there's nothing I've liked more than the old T-Meters in the old NBA Lives. I'm guessing they won't be going with something like that but hopefully it'll be a change for the better.

And once again, Xbox 360 doesn't get that much love :( they have something for Playstation move but not Kinect for Xbox :( sigh looks like Xbox will never get the love they want :(

Yeah, I didn't like how they handled that. Removing an option for the user instead of improving the game's mechanics/AI to avoid spamming.

I don't know that it's much of a loss for 360 users. As I mentioned in the other thread, I'd much rather play with a gamepad anyway.

Exactly. I understand where they were coming from but that's a handy option to have, allowing users to ease themselves into the controls if they're not that familiar with them and/or used to EA's control schemes.

Don't complain, 2k12 is made for 360 then ported across to PS3 so your graphics/gameplay experience is actually (marginally) better. I'd be happy to trade the Move function to Kinect for game to be made on PS3 & ported to 360, I don't think you would though :P

Playing with the Kinect would look like you're playing with yourself..
