New To Pc Gaming who can help??

I've been researching and researching every since i got this nba 2k12 for pc. I have windows 7. I just dont know where to start with modding and obtaining the latest and coolest patches. I thought it was so cool to have this feature for a game i think i get the overall idea but i just dont know where to start and im having trouble understanding how to do any of it. I am a 100% beginner just trying to use these patches for my game if any one could help id really appreciate it. Thanks

For most of the patches you just unzip the files into where you installed 2K12. Grab http://www.7-zip.org/ and you'll be able to do this easily.

As for obtaining them, check out the database here along with the Release and Previews forum.

Thanks, do you know which patch pack or download is best for just an overall most up to date as possible 2k12 ?
