QUESTION about PNG #'s

Hey guys.. I was wondering how to assign new png #'s without tampering with current players.
Say i want have 3 different versions of Lebron on 3 different rosters, but he has the same png # how do i assign a diff one to them. how do i know not to overwrite another players png#

E.g.. I have a 2004 roster where lebron is a rookie, so i have a rookie cf. Then in 2009 he's matured more so i have the cf used in the ubr for 2009 cavs. Then for last season, he had a different look going on with the beard so i got a cf for that one. All of them are the same png #.

so how do i have it so that when i load each of those rosters, that yrs specific lebron will show up, without having to paste and back up all the time. That's a pain. If someone could pls help i would appreciate. thnx!

Name those files with an id that isn't used in your game folder (e.g. check your game folder, find unused numbers and name your files accordingly as pngXXXX.iff), download the free version of reditor, load up the roster you want, find LBJ in the Players tab, change his CFID column accordingly, save it.

btw nuhmete, does it matter what numbers i use? I get what u said about using combinations that arent already being used, but now im wondering does it only go up to a certain number? e.g. png0000 - thru png5000?

u know what i mean? does it have a limit? can you go up to using 5 and 6 number combos? png52525? i coulda sworn i downloaded a steve nash cf with a 5 number png.

Yup 5-digit CFs work. No idea about an actual limit but it's safe to say you can at least go up to 99999 (and maybe 6 digits, never tried)
