CPU 3pt Attempts

I just played my first game against the Magic in Association mode, the CPU took 42 3pt attempts... is this normal? I've played other teams but they only average something like 15-25 3pt attempts.

There are teams in NBA that shoot many threes like KNICKS (40 threes yesterday!!!) and of course Orlando (27 threes yesterday). Orlando 1-2 times took around 40 threes in a game in this season.
