Problem with Icon pass when playing with more than 2 players

When I am playing NBA 2k12 with more than two human players, the Icon pass is broke and only works on offense with the player handling the ball... for all other users on offense it doesn't work and on defense it doesn't work for any user.

In previous version of the game I have never encountered this problem and have no idea how to fix it.
If anybody knows of a fix please let me know, this is really annoying and kills my enjoyment of the game,

I've never encountered that problem, though on the PC version a couple of the buttons are switched for icon passing and switching, which takes a bit of getting used to. The same issue was in NBA 2K11, disappointing that they didn't address that as that's basic functionality.
