Different portrait question

Wed Nov 16, 2011 5:50 pm

Here are the steps I am doing so far someone let me know if I'm wrong.

Step1 I am using the decompressor tool to decompress the portrait.iff file
Step 2 using the mode tool to export an unsed players portrait to use in GIMP
Step 3 making a portrait and making sure it is all the same siE and dtx5
Step 4 importing that portrait back into the mod tool overwriting the unused CF

Now how do I decompress the portrait.iff file so I can put it back in my game. I tried just putting it in anyway but nobody had a portrait just their CF as a pic, any help would be aaesome

you gotta change that player's portrait ID

first you need to find what texture you replaced in the portrait file (make sure you edit the _hi file too)
then find the corresponding portrait ID to that texture

then using the chinese trainer, load your player into Edit Player, and use the trainer to change the portrait ID to the one you found earlier

I already know what picture I replaced it is Francisco Elson which is 1137.dds. But I'm asking how do I compress the total portrait.iff file to place that file
Back in the game, because when I put it back in the game all of their portraits are just cf

again, you need to change that player's portrait ID. Since it is 3#### in the game, the game will generate a portrait rather than use the one you assigned.
