MP calling plays?

Sun Nov 13, 2011 8:29 pm

Is it still possible to call plays in My Player even thought I am not a point guard?

in 2K12 only the player holding the ball can call plays. When you have the ball, call the play. Most often the PG starts with the ball, so if you want to call plays it's best to play a PG.

You can call quick plays without the ball.

It can be changed in a patch, but I have a feeling 2K won't change it.

I know how to call and execute plays. I was just asking if it is still possible to call plays with different positions in My Player when you reach a certain amount in Team Chemistry like last year.

Possibly, but so far it seems it's only possible if you're the ballhandler, which is what fjccommish was explaining.

If anyone can confirm otherwise, by all means let us know.

Yes like last year it is only the ballhanlder can call plays on offense. I have just finished my 1st season in MP I can't still call plays as an SF. I have 98 Team Chemistry, maybe it needs to be 100?

Couldn't rule that out I suppose but I'm guessing those last two points won't make a difference and that's just the way it is.

I had a problem bro , all team chemistrys in my player mode are 85% and even if you lose or win the team chemistry percent doesen't go low or high.
Is there a way to fix it? I know this isn't the place to ask this. :|

In 2K11 you could call plays while controlling someone without the ball.

- In Association or season or quick play mode - always.
- In MP once chemistry reached a certain threshold.

In 2K12 you cannot call plays while controlling someone without the ball. You must control the ball handler in order to call plays. In Association mode you cannot call plays when you don't have the ball. That means if you play locked, you cannot call plays as a practical matter unless you're the PG or you call for the ball at the start of the shot clock. Otherwise the play takes too long to develop, and the CPU controlled players on your team don't run the plays well in the first place.

You can call quick plays, with the pad, even without the ball. But in 2K12 you must have the ball in order to call plays.
