Who else is frustrated with 2k12 gameplay?

Topic name aside, i hope they patch these things : way too many free throws when CPU takes the ball inside. Also, CPU always find a way to get inside, User defence, even when really good, can't create the "bump" animation, players just go thru you everytime, especially little guys, while on the other end to go inside with PG is almost impossible. Big men for CPU are just another kind of cheese. They seem to score everytime, either thru a dunk, spin lay-up, or freethrows. I think whole gameplay inside took a step back this year! I really think 2k11 was much smoother when it came to this...

i got frustrated on my first few games...but slowly getting the hang of it and started to play better defense and offense....give it a few more games.....

my first few games, Im very frustrated, but as I play more and gaining some expirience, im beginning to like the game with proper slider settings and good defense you will be able to pound the CPU... thanks 2k,, Im playing all star difficulty with Custom slider setting..still working on my slider with a few tweak, Im beginning to get the hang on the game and getting use to the new controller set up....

yeah guys, i did play many games now, but still, you know, it just ain't realistic at all, you know, i have nothin to say if CPU beats me, but instead it cheats me XDI adjust my sliders but the bugs above seem to be unresolved with sliders

i also got a hang of it.. i just hate it on how much i miss and how cpu makes shots down the stretch. but i think i suck at defense! haha.

for the bumps... i guess some sliders adjustments should give improvements.

i always apply the 1-3-1 defense after watching the youtube video of da czar...

Gameplay for me is really the best compared to previous 2ks. You just have to adjust the slider, and also play some defence.
It's also very realistic, stars act like how they should and when i lose, it's okay with me cause the game is really fun and they won
without cheating unlike 2k11.

down the stretch the Cpu always looks for the stars, but i was able to neutralized them by double teaming, using your big man to set up a play for them, its easy to score inside specially if u have a star center/PF like ,howard, TD, KG and others thats why i increased the user/cpu help defense and the driving contact frequency in my slider.

I used to be very frustrated, too. Started a couple of associations but was never satisfied. While I did pretty well during the first half, I always collapsed completely in the second. Many times the AI outscored me by 30+. But I started to watch some tutorial videos, to use my stars (Bogut and Tyreke), to control players off the ball so they don't do those unnecessary switches and leave their man wide open in the corner and finally tweaked the sliders in a fair way. And what do you know, yesterday I got my first win against the Rockets. Down by two and 12 sec to play, I isolated Tyreke, drove into a couple of defenders and kicked it out to Jimmer when his man came to help. Joke's on you, AI-bitch! I just did to you what you've been doing to me for two weeks now! Needless to say, Fredette drained the 3 with 4.7 left on the clock. Then the Rockets took a time out, inbounded it to T.Williams who had fucked me hard all game long (35 pts). He made a quick hesitation move, drove by his defender, went up for the uncontested shot when out of nowhere Favors rolls off the back of his assignment and swats the orange back it into Houston's half. I so fucking love this game! 98-97, baby! It's so much more rewarding if you have to earn the win.

So far so good for me. I've started an association with Memphis and current standing is 4-3.
You need to be very careful for the entire game otherwise CPU will out score you anytime you become lazy in both ends of the floor.
Every time my star players goes out for a break I always see to it that I look for the best possible shots as much as possible otherwise CPU will eat you alive. During the last five minutes of the game I always see to it that my best players are on the floors. Learn to use the time out if the CPU is hot to kill the momentum. On defense also make sure to switch to the nearest player if the player you are guarding bit you or there is a screen set.

I love the game so much than the previous games. But notice some issues like unfair trade (Ginobili for Thornton in SAC) and a bit high percentage in the 3 point area but I guess this can be easily corrected in the sliders.

Yeah, me too, i just have like 2 wins on Greatest Player mode and that's it XD I turned down the clutch sliders to 25 - really did its job. But i was really talking about animations this year - inside play is bogus this and also fouls - i get hit with them every time

I'm playing on Superstar with slightly adjusted for 3pt shooting slim sliders. Always get my ass handed to me cuz of 2 things -fouls and turnovers. CPU always makes good passes while i just can't catch a break

When the CPU is on a fast break I always go try for a block. most of the time im successful when im close enough. but maybe its just because im using Toney Allen or Mayo for that matter. Turnover hmmm a bit high also but I just make sure i passed the ball when there is no opposing player infront on my guy otherwise it will lead for a TO and a fastbreak. I agree CPU pass the ball accurately so thats why I dont mind intercepting their passes. hehehehe.

Absolutely. As I mentioned in another thread, his videos are a must watch.

The only problem i have is with the shooting percentage of the cpu they tend to always make shot even though i have already lowered the values in the sliders..i hope they can fix this cuz i cant wait to create my first patch for 2k12..

Only thing that is annoying is its much easier to get blocks this year, probably double the amount of blocks from last year per game maybe more. And missing point blank layups has to stop, makes no sense.

I play on all-star w/ sim sliders, brought 3-pointer down to 40, & everything else to 45. I played around with Defensive Awarness down just a bit, no real preference for me I keep switching it between 40 to 45. I also brought steals up to 50/50, & brought the steal calls down to 30, because even at 40 I got steal calls everytime I attempted steals.
