Is there a way to mod the retro courts

Sat Oct 15, 2011 3:33 pm

Hi,

I currently have nba 2k12 for the ps3. The main reason I got this game was because the NBA's greatest mode. I was happy to see this game take fans back in the 1960's and 1970's. The different rules, no 3-point line and retro presentation had me really excited.

Well, I completed some of the Greatest games (i.e. Bill Russell, Jerry West) etc. and thus, I unlocked those teams. I became disappointed when I went to the quick play mode and found that only retro presentation was gone (i.e. the 1965 Celtics Arena was no longer in black and white), but there was a 3-point line on the retro courts and the rules were based on the modern day game.

My question is for PC version of NBA 2k12? Are the files for all the courts in the game and easily accessible? If so, would you be able to mod the courts from the Greatest mode and put them into quick play mode once a team is unlocked. For example, the 1972 Lakers court had no 3-point line. Would be able to use the court presented the Greatest mode in exhibition?

If the courts are easily moddable, I will consider getting the PC version of NBA 2k12. Thanks for your time.

the courts a modable, but what you want requires some game mode editing that we do not know how to do at this time.
