If you mean when you're on Defense, if you hold RS in any direction you put your hands up. If you are close to a shooter, you contest the shot (which happened automatically last year) instead of trying to block it. Check the Defense Insight if you need more info on that.

JaoSming, Nah I mean when you shot with a defender in your face last year you got a contested jumper animation. You could have chose specific ones in create a player last year.

i think the contested shots are out because in 2k11 you would pump fake someone and get them off their feet to where they go by you, and rather than a straight up and down jump shot like you need to do, your player would do the leaner or fadeaway. i guess they'd rather have you do a sensible shot
