What's wrong with my XBox Controller?

okay everytime i play 2k my player keeps shooting. I'm not even touhcing the X button or the joy stick. The player will shoot no matter what. But on defense everything is fine. Player don't put their arms up, it's only on offense. I have the latest driver and im pretty sure it's the controller and not my computer because i used an official Xbox controller (mines a generic one MadCatz) and it worked fine. What's the deal? They're both wired btw.
