Classic Team 80's-60's era uni type

i was wondering if anyone has figured out this part of the game. I know the hex code for the each of the era short types. But cant seem to get the same apperence of the 80's-60's era uni types on any other teams. I know the hex code for current teams are 0140 and 90's 0141 and the 80's-60's era uni type is 0142. When you change 0140 or 0141 to 0142 you get short shorts from the 80's-60's era uni type. But the uni stays baggy and the are odd looking shadows on the shorts and player legs. And if i change the 0142 for 80's-60's era uni type to either 0140 or 0141, the game crashs.

I am starting to think that this is something related or hard coded to the iff uniform files. Can an jersey creator tell me if am right?

there is nothing special about those older uniform's iff files, no models or different texture formats

remember, PC's rosters in hex dont apply directly to the 360 version and vice versa
