xbox 360 - hidden layup/dunk packages?

Postby kingjames23 on Fri Oct 14, 2011 6:46 am

first of all... many players in this game dont even have their own dunk/layup packages... i would expect kobe to have the kobe packages, carter to have the carter packages, shouldn't this be a given? KG should have KG's package... etc etc i cant remember which ones are off, but like.. Monta just got a dunk package this year... and instead he is assigned athletic guard. wtf?

secondly... i have noticed classic players pulling off different moves from what their packages suggest they all have. so when isiah thomas has a "rookie gaurd" layup package and no dunk package, yet i have seen him do some parker/paul moves, and i have dunked with him... it makes me wonder if these players have hidden packages, or if they simply disappear when you go into edit player mode. for example, pippen loses his package and it changes to dominique wilkens package. it makes no sense.

They are in game not all but most are, the reason I say this is because Kobes package is in game, carters is in game its just they are getting older and there dunk rating isn't very high so if its not rated to a certain extent then they wont be good enough to have the signature dunk package.

This! Kobe isn't the highflyer he was when he won the dunk contest. Same counts for VC. As young highflying Kobe is in the game, it makes sense to give that version of Kobe the Kobe dunk package...

If you don't edit a player he won't lose his dunk package, for example play with Carter in practice mode with the default roster, you could see him doing his package dunks, but if you edit anything on him he will have the dunk package that you see in the edit screen. And the same applies to Monta and others. One thing you can do is raise the dunk rating to 85 change the dunk page and them put back the original dunk value, in the edit escreen you will see that his package is not what you assigned for him before, but if you don't change any signature move you will see that the player really has the package that you assigned to him (just try in practice mode).

Is this truely working? Might also work with the likes of Pippen and Worthy, assigning them to PF and change the package, and then go back to SF. It shows a "-" then, but if this works what you say, they should have their packages.

I haven't tried with Worthy and Pippen (I haven't edited them yet and they have their original packages) so I don't know if this work when changing positions, but I can assure that this have worked when I used the 'changing dunk attribute' trick.

They don't.. those have been removed which makes no sense since Pippen has his own greatest game hmmmm so they put more focus on him in this game this year but they take away his sigs an don't add anymore  that makes a lot of sense 2K
