Can't connect to the 2K Sports Servers

Hey!! I bought the game through Steam earlier today, and when I booted it up for the first time couldn't create my online profile. It stayed stuck, after inputing all of my info, with a dialog box saying "Connecting to the 2K Sports Servers", and after like 10 minutes it says "Couldn't connect to the 2K Sports Servers".

After playing for a while, I tried once again, and got the same message. 4 hours later, I booted up the game again, and when I click in "online" it says something like I have a connection problem and that the game can't connect to the servers. I created a firewall exception, but no dice, I deactivated my firewall and still nothing. I really don't know what else to do!!!

If anyone could help me it would be nice!
