Claim your Floor IDs

OK, LHead2 brought up a good point, we should claim GIDs so the mods don't overwrite each other. There shouldn't ever be an issue with logos, uniforms, and stadiums since we can name those whatever we want. For my Blacktop Revitalization Mod in 2K10 instead of using s###.iff for my stadiums I just called them Rucker.iff, Venice.iff, Woodroofgym.iff etc without issue from the game......however, we cannot do that with the f###.iff files (and probably not with the team_###.iff files either). So lets try to keep an organized list of claimed FloorIDs for our projects.

Eh... Still might be a good idea to make sure people don't overwrite each other. Or, it could be used to standardize retro player CF IDs. For instance, 80's Kareem was 370 in previous 2k incarnations.

what I meant is I couldn't find ua 602 - uh 603, as u wrote that they're Blacktop's, right? but I couldn't find those files (ua 602 - uh 603) so I can't rename 'em to ua-uh 999...

sorry, if u think that I'm being annoying for asking help ...

even though the team codes are those, the uniform files are uh600 and ua601

FloorIDs are limited between 0-255 this year. Giving us 8.5 full mods minus what the NBA has.....this is a problem we need to figure out.


I guess I can encourage you guys to use the generic floor.....but that is lame.

I'd recommend that for mods that will share floor designs, we simply make sure that the ID is shared. That'll reduce the strain a tad.

i've been corrected (thanks Vl@d), its 0-255. So 256 total possible courts. Luckily using the "generic" court isnt taken part of it since the game overrides it to 800.


I'm going to post a few new threads for mods I want to work on, we'll get to mapping out GIDs soon after
