For alley oop, your player need "layup value" at least 60.
If less, the player make only layup and not dunk.

It depends on each player, the person who is catching the alley-oop has to have a layup value of at least 60 to dunk the alley-oop as Alby said. I'm not sure it'll work if you raise the sliders but editing each of your player to a rating of 60 layup will definitely make it more possible.

I found problem with this. I just set ball to alley-oop closer to player , and player finishes with dunk.
Thank you guys. (Y)

RR3 release: first week 2011.
I'm waiting Reditor...
RR3 will include all new shot tendencies + all real playbooks and a complete overall players revision (based on 2010-11 season)

Untoned, grab Lin here:

Hi Albys! I have played with your sliders and they are almost perfect.
The only issue is offensive rebounding but that's more a problem with 2k since whatever you try its not going to be realistic.
The patch (whenever its coming) is said to deal with rebounding logics so hopefully it will be better.

Played with your roster last year and I'm looking forward to RR3 - I have a couple of question about your philosophy in making it.

*Do you use 2k rosters as a base or any other roster?

*Do you use the same gaps between great and bad players that 2k does?
I have played with Kova's roster and they are good but he makes the lesser players have increased overall values that makes all the teams to similar in strength.

* When you implement the complete player revision what kind of attributes do you change the most (for ex on the ball defence, offensive awerness etc.) or do you just decrease/increase players who's having bad/good seasons?

Keep up the good work :applaud:

Hi Eddie, thanks for compliments and for these good questions.
1) my roster based on 2k roster mid october: i think it's a best roster, because uninjured and with a good cpu defense (after this roster, 2K maked defense more easy). From this base i added all missing players and another signed. With Reditor i will fix some things like new socks colors for some teams.

2) in my roster, the greatest teams are again better teams, but a lot of players are overall more high than default (like 60-70) because nba player with 45-50-55 overall is a 2K joke... i set ALL PLAYERS VALUES and final overall is consequently.

3) all attributes and also some tendencies. On RR1 based on last season and pre-season performance. On RR2 based on last season and first new season games.
On RR3 only this season performance except some particular case.

Ciao!

p.s.
I think RR3 will be fix some problems in off. rebounds. Not all because need 2k official patch.

Thanks Albys - that sounds great!

I think it can be a problem to increse some players too much as size is a factor in how good a player is but its not affected in the ratings.
I give you an example:

Tony Battie usually have a value of 57-59 but you can play better than that with him in games.
When you play with him he "feels" more as a 65. If you put him up to a 65 I think he'll be overvalued.
Another example is Kyrylo Fesenko.

hei albys when will you release RR3?

Re: Albys Realistic Roster 2 released!!!

Mon Jan 03, 2011 3:19 am

Hey Albys, I used your roster (RR2) in a "Just simulate and manage" kinda Association, and there are major coaches issues. For example you can hire a generic guy as your head coach, but ingame he'll look like Doc Rivers and have Doc's audio even if he was retired. Idk if someone mentioned this so I'm shouting it out.

Hey alby will you include real shoes patch and portraits from Mr.Xcitement in RR3?

yeh i had that same thing happen to me as well
not sure if that's purely because of the roster tho =/

Hi Albys, you need to fix turnovers for both CPU and User, because sometimes you can see that players cant catch the very easy passes.. the ball is thrown away out of bounds..

Dlee wrote:Hi Albys, you need to fix turnovers for both CPU and User, because sometimes you can see that players cant catch the very easy passes.. the ball is thrown away out of bounds..

i find that it is quite realistic
if you watch games there are always turnovers from misguided passes that go out of bounds
its the turnovers that come from passing lanes that are a bit high

Re: Albys Realistic Roster 2 released!!!

Thu Jan 06, 2011 8:08 am

Yes Jzero, these turnover also for me are very realistic.

And with RR3 sliders the passing lanes turnover will be fixed.

RR3 patching level: 75%
I hope will release weekend or max. tuesday.
I'm completely satisfied for this work, because with total update of shot tendencies, team playbooks, overall players and some sliders fix, the gameplay is almost perfect (will be perfect with official 2k patch).
Stay tuned!

Sorry for my bad english.

No fear
In RR3 Battie is 62 and Fesenko 61.

Hey Albys, I am wondering, maybe you can make this roster compatible with Mr.Xcitment's portraits pack - viewtopic.php?f=136&t=77253 ?
