Re: iPrototype's Progressive Mod (UPDATE ~~PLEASE READ~~)

Once I have the base, I just build on top of that. I have the roster files done for all 25 seasons with accurate names, stats, lineups, and even made my own set of sliders to make it play like an actual NBA game in that era. I work on CFs when I can but it gets a bit overwhelming at times. Rj86 was generous enough to work on the jerseys when he has time and I have yet to find a person to work on the courts. It's no biggie though, I'll see if I can work something out to have the mod in your hands whenever possible. Days are counting down until the release of 2k11 but hopefully I'll be able to use the textures of the players and just make a new headshape model if anything. That's where I shine at (y)

New update on the mod and on the new website SPECIFICALLY for the NBA 2k Mod comunity.

June 19th, 2011

I want to formally announce that Aloncho and I have released a website catering to members of the NBA 2k series, my mod will be available there and so will the 1992 mod by Aloncho and Juan33. I have been working with him on the site and on the mod so forgive me if I have been M.I.A. for a bit. If you want to know more about this project go to THIS THREAD

With all due respect, this project was started about four months ago. I'm trying to make the release be at the same time as Aloncho's 1992 Mod for the first five years. I am working little by little on the other later years since the only thing blocking my progress is the Jerseys (which are being worked on) and the Courts (Which have NO contributor so it's kind of this mod's Achilles heel now)

Like any other project which is entirely based on amount of time generously given by the people working on it, it's usually best not to release a time table as... you know, life happens.

Even if I never release it (Which I doubt, so don't panic JUST YET!) it still sets a base to build upon for 2k12 in which you can quote me now, I WILL get to work on as soon as the tools are created and as soon as the game is out. I have all my excel datesheets and my DDS files for the textures. In case 2k Decides to switch anything up :)

HAWK23 wrote:I love the fact that you're trying to make every year for the last 25 years... but is there anyway you can release years as you finish so we don't have to wait till NBA2k13 to actually play....

Was the 1986-1987 season ever completed and released?

What's the point of starting all these huge new projects but never releasing them?

I've been following this thread along with the 96-97 mod thread since December and it's pretty frustrating that none of this stuff is ever released.

Are there any reasonable time tables out there for any of this stuff?

I love your guys' work I'm just to the point now where I'd like to see some stuff released, no more previews... it's a waste of time if it's never going to get released. Please don't criticize me for being impatient... I used to be a patcher in my day too for NBA Live 99 (and I understand there is SOOOO much more to update, tweak, and edit these days)... but it's been over 7 months....

I understand what you are saying but if you used to patch and you want these patches to get done so fast why not get your feet wet and maybe offer to help some of us

peace iprototype for the courts where would you get the reference material to make accurate likeness as i find that is the hardest thing when it comes to retro projects.

I'm doing the retro courts. There are a lot of videos of the era in youtube so no problem there... the problem is that I have to make concesions... because some courts can't be done 100% realistic without 3d modelling capability.

i c thats smarts goran. hey do u find when hex editing that the same color code may not result in the same color on diffrent courts like for instance just cause the color code for red works in 1 court doesnt mean that color code will work for another court if you are attempting to make that 1 red
