Therefore, your points are very weak and all this nonsense can stop now. Aaron Karl As Starting Point Guard?
OCTOBER 29, SEATTLE – Aaron Karl has no relation to Head Coach George Karl. However, the backup point guard is hoping that the namesake will be another factor in his favor during his fight to unseat Jason Kidd from the Seattle Stealth starting five. "It's no secret," Karl admitted, "I want to start. I think that Jason is a great role model and leader. He is one of our most influential players on the team but I think that we have better guards more suited to lead on the court. I think that I am one of them."
Karl has been impressive during the NBA preseason. He cited his recent 24 point, 8 assist game against the Houston Rockets and 18 point, 12 assists performance against the LA Clippers as examples of how he could help the Stealth if he were made a full-time start. "I started three games in preseason and I played great in all of them," Karl said, "I think that I am better than Jason. No offense to him of course." Coach Karl has warned the player Karl to be patient, "I don't want Aaron to get ahead of himself. I know that he is talented but Jason is the starter for now. The onus is on Aaron to prove to me that he deserves to start and once he does, I'm sure I will make the right choices for him and for the team."
Coach Karl confirmed that Kidd would start against the Philadelphia 76ers and added that Aaron Karl's minutes would depend on how the entire back court played. "I have four All-Star caliber players," Karl frankly explained, "If all of them are playing well, I don't think young Aaron will get to even take off his warm ups." Jason Kidd welcomed Aaron Karl's challenge to take over him as the starting point guard, "I look forward to playing hard in training. That's the only way to get better." Karl has become a fan favorite for his shooting stroke and level headed play from off the bench. The fourth year pro was one of the more heavily played of the Stealth's deep bench; gaining more minutes than back court partner and last season's first pick Jao Wu.

OCTOBER 29, SEATTLE – NBA veteran and future Hall of Famer Allen Iverson has told media that he has one goal: to win the NBA Sixth Man of the Year award. In his late 30s, Iverson would become just the second player in NBA history to have won both the MVP and Sixth Man awards during one playing career. The only other player to have done it was Bill Walton. Iverson is confident that he can achieve this goal, "If I was a starter, I'd be an MVP candidate so to have me on the bench, I'm going to be killing it."
The expressive Iverson seemed cool as ever as he conceded that he would probably miss the Stealth's opening game of the season against his former team, Philadelphia 76ers, and ironically the team that he played for when he won the 2001 league MVP.
