Team Report



The Stealth are rolling after losing just one game during all of December. A shaky start to the season in November was shaken off and the team has shot up the league standings where it is in first place in the Western Conference.

Injuries have been a slight issue for Seattle with David Lee (sprained toe) and Reshawn Tyson (dislocated finger) the latest casualties. The team has been able to pull through tough times thanks to their depth and the minor nature of the ailments. However, one has to ponder whether all the wear and tear to the players will be detrimental to them in the long term.

Highlights of December included thrashings of the LA Lakers, Golden State Warriors and a splendid win against the Denver Nuggets. The Nuggets game ranks as one of the most exciting of the month with Kevin Durant waging an impromptu scoring duel with former scoring champion Tracy McGrady. The game of the month has to be the matchup against rivals Portland. The Blazers lasted an extra overtime period but did not get in the way of Seattle’s twelfth win in a row.

Such has been the month of December that there are really no negatives to write about. Seattle has been classes above any of their competition and league watchers are now curiously waiting for the team’s next game against the Sacramento Kings.
