Stealth Streak Reaches Eight
Seattle Stealth at Miami Heat: 95-84
Preview | Boxscore | Recap | Highlights
December 19, MIAMI (AP) – The final score line did not reflect the ease in which the Stealth had won this one. After an 11-0 run to start the game and another scoring run in the second quarter, Seattle led by 20 points for most of the game before they let their intensity drop in a disappointing final quarter.
“It wasn’t good,” Head Coach George Karl said, “We were playing so well on both ends of the floor. We were getting easy buckets, grabbing all the boards but we just couldn’t keep it up for 48 minutes. We still have work to do.”
According to Kevin Durant though, the most important thing was that Seattle won the game. “I know what coach is saying but we didn’t lose this one did we?” Durant laughed. The All-Star forward has been in a jovial mood recently thanks to his improved form.
Dwyane Wade was in foul trouble all the way. He picked up two quick fouls in the first quarter and had four fouls midway through the third period. Backup PG Marcus Williams played starter’s minutes and performed admirably. Williams didn’t shoot well (3-9 FG) and didn’t take the best care of the ball (6 turnovers) but was still three rebounds shy of a triple double.
Notes: Reshawn Tyson is playing injured and struggled. He finished with 9 points… Heat C Ted Kennedy scored all 11 of his points in the first half before being shut down in the second… Karl praised his team’s handling of Wade and JR Smith… This was Seattle’s first game without Aaron Karl who has been expelled from the NBA. The Stealth continue to keep their distance from Karl and refused to answer any questions about him…

Durant: The Best Is Yet To Come
DECEMBER 20, SEATTLE – A day after leading Seattle to their eighth win in a row, Kevin Durant vowed that the best is yet to come for his team’s season. Durant stated that his team’s slow start to the season didn’t matter now as his side had built up strong form and hold a record of 17-9.
“Where are all the haters now?” Durant boasted. Durant told reporters that the reason for the team’s revival was a change in the team’s attitude, “Some players were trying to hog the limelight. We’re winning ball games now that I’m getting the rock.”
He was also asked about his form this season and whether he would be winning a fifth consecutive scoring title. “As I said, some players were hogging the rock and I wasn’t getting my fair share. I’m pretty good to be averaging 26 points in the circumstances but now that everything is right again I am going to try and get my average up to 30 again,” was his reply.
Durant predicted that Seattle would finish top of the Western Conference and didn’t even think about saying that Aaron Karl’s absence wouldn’t make any difference to his team’s makeup, “Karl wasn’t a trooper on my team. He was too busy doing other things.”
“We can win the title this season,” Durant stated, “If we don’t, I’m pretty sure you all know the reason why.”

Tyson Fined By Team
DECEMBER 20, SEATTLE – Reshawn Tyson has been fined $20, 000 by the Seattle Stealth for comments made to the press recently. Tyson has stirred up some controversy after recently discussing his feelings about the New Jersey Nets acquisition of Chris Bosh and his speculations regarding a possible trade out of Seattle.
The fifth year shooting guard has reportedly made his preference to play for another team clear to the Stealth front office. However, all of the distractions have not stopped Tyson from having a strong season for Seattle. His popularity also continues to rise as he is third amongst all Western Conference guards in All-Star voting and is a chance to overtake the Lakers’ Kobe Bryant for the second starting spot behind Chris Paul.
