Looks like we might have enough people for a 2k7 online league next year :)

Lakers @ Spurs

The start of the game saw the Lakers jump right out of the box, with Kobe continueing his hot shooting from the 4th quarter of the nets game. The score was 16-6 when Kobe picked Parkers pocket and dunked on him plus the foul (see the video below). The spurs clamped down though and behind a strong showing from Barry, they climbed back into it but still trailed 30-23 at quater time. In the second they came out much more aggresive and with kobe and odom off, they made their run and took the lead behind brent Barry, and were up by double digits at one point. Kobe and Odom led a late charge to bring the lead down to 4 at half time, 54-50 spurs. Brent Barry had 13 first half points.

2nd half
The spurs started the quarter strong again with Horry and Duncan up front, and took a quick 11 point lead before Kobe started to take the game over, and with Odom's help the lakers outscored the spurs by 8 in the period to nurse a 4 point lead, 78-74. In the fourth quarter, Parker stepped up with kobe getting a breather to begin the quarter. The lakers emerged with a 107-102 win against a complete spurs team, easily the best win for the season so far.

Player of the Game
Kobe Bryant, 39 points, 7 assists

Other Notables:
Smush 11 points and 12 assists, Lamar 29 points and 7 rebounds, Mihm 8 points and 8 rebounds
Kobe steal and Dunk

Wow that game seemed pretty realistic. I'll ask this once more, do you have a hd tv? A LCD tv? Since there seems to be no flickering in the screenshots, like trying to take a picture of my tv.

Congrats on the win, another nice video. Sounds like Kobe was up to his usual standards, good performance by Odom as well. Is there anyone you're disappointed in right now?

Ah the tripplemrox jinx.

Lakers@ Jazz
This game was played on thursday after I finished the hall of fame commitments, so i dont remember a hole lot. I do remember feeling I could just walk into the delta centre and dominate. After all, i had the best player in the league scoring well over 40 ppg, and i just beat san antonio in san antonio, so what could happen? Well, i could lose for starters. The Jazz jumped out to an early lead that i could never make up, and even despite kobe and odom combining for 52 points (it doesnt sound like much ), i never got into a ryhtym. I always felt I was in the game until the last 2 minutes when they pulled away for a 115-97 win.

Twolves @ Lakers
Once again, my overconfidence got the worst of me in this game. I wasn't worried after the Jazz loss, but i started this game 1-10 from the feild! The twolves with KG in the lineup are hard to score on, and I'm beginning to notice a different strategy on Kobe. Teams seem to have one guy playing phsyical on him, and not collapsing on him, but playing close to him. This makes it harder to pass to a cutter for an easy layup. After one the Timberwolves were up 29-14, with kobe only scoring 2 first quarter points. I benched kobe and started to make a run in the second quarter, and when kobe returned i actually tied it at 44 before the twolves closed the half out on a 5-0, but I brought it back to a two point deficit, 48-46 at halftime.

2nd Half
Despite that surge, I was still completely confident that I would win this game. Ricky Davis and KG put any hopes to bed in an anhiliation in the third. Minnesota outscored me by 16 points to lead 84 -66 going into the fourth. I played my started for the first few minutes, but once it was clear I couldnt cacth minnesota, i rested the main guys to prevent injury and took a 111-88 loss.

Player of the Game

Ricky Davis
30 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 4 steals

Kg had 16 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, 5 blocks and one SICK move against eddie robinson where he span one direction, then spun he way before hitting a contested jumpshot. Its on video below if you want to see it.

Divison standings now:

Team W-L GB
Suns 10-4 0
Lakers 10-5 0.5
Kings 10-6 1.0
Clippers 6-9 4.5
Warriors 6-11 5.5

So I lost my division lead for now, but its only 1/2 game. That being said, Sacramento is also only 1/2 a game back of me as well. Luckily I have charlotte next and its a sunday home game, so i get to use the white jerseys :).

Here's some screenshots and replays:
Smush completes a 3 point play in Utah
Eddie Robinson finishes the break in style with a big dunk
Kg's unstopaable move. Awesome. You have to check it out
Image

Also, remember in the memphis game, Devean Georges steal and buzzer beater to finish the quarter? Well here it is:

George's buzzer beater

Now before I get 10 questions asking whether he got it off, look at this:

Wow what a big post :proud:.

Couple of tough losses there, though it's cool that the CPU is wising up on Kobe and defending him harder to challenge you and force you to change strategies. Great videos, the Devean George buzzer beater is my personal favourite though you were right about KG's move. Cool screens as always, congrats on another fine update. :)

Bobcats @ Lakers
After losing 2 straight in rather convincing fashion, I needed this game. In the first quarter Devean George and Odom played well and finished strong around the basket. I was able to get into transition frequently and I put up 29 points in the first quarter, my highest 1st quarter output in quite some time. Charlotte was taking advanatge of my overconfidence by making alot of jumpers, but I still led by 4 at the end of one. In the second quarter, Brin Cook simply exploded for 11 points, making the most of the kobe double teams and cut right to the rim. If I had that going for me in the the last two games maybe I'd be 13-3 right now! At the end of the first half it was 63 to 53.

2nd Half
In the second the onslaught continued, with george, kobe and odom all dominating. Charlotte had Rush and wallace working for them but that was all they had. As the third quarter ran down, kobe hit a 5 footer in the lane with 2.7 seconds left before raymond felton jacked up a walton esque 65 footer on the buzzer that hit the back of the rim and crawled in. Of course i took a replay of that, and the score after 3 was 95 to 75. In the 4th i rested all my starters and cruised to a 127-114 win.

Player of the game

Lamar Odom
33 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals

Kobe had 27 points 10 assists 5 rebounds and 1 steal
Cook had 22 points 2 rebounds 3 assists 1 steal and 2 blocks
George had 12 points 4 rebounds 1 assists and 1 block
and smush had 9 points 10 assists 2 rebounds and 1 steal

For Charlotte, Kareem Rush and Gerald Wallace had 53 combined points.

Heres some videos:
Raymond feltons crazy () shot
Kobe steals the ball and finds Devean Geogre on the break for the slam and the foul
Kobe defelects a pass before cook rejects the shot, and kobe then finishes the break with a 3 point play
Smush delivers an awesome pass to kobe for the dunk

And also some screens:

Nice stuff. Is there anything you can do to improve the video though? It's kinda hard to see what's happening because it's sooo small and the framerate makes the video seem blurrier.

You can always upload it to putfile or something. (Y) And where the hell did Eddie Robinson come from? :o
