Nice preview. I really like your squad. But I think you should try to start Jeff Green. Guy needs to play to develop. He can the play the 2 I guess. Better all-around than Morrison, too.

 @ Chris Wilcox being Disturbed
Nice preview, but I don't see how you hope to be the 4th seed with a .500 record in the West conference (yeah, yeah, I know, It's only a projected record xD).
I don't want to be on the Wizards, but still, can't wait for my NBA career to start! :P I hope you will regulary inform us with our stats. :P

Nice pre-season stuff dude, although I would think with your squad you could be a little more optimistic than 41-41 :P

The game doesn't rate my team, if I played every game then I would win a lot of games but since I'm simming... can't say that.

I will try my best man!

Sorry you didn't land on a crappy team but at least you can win from the start. And if you don't have success with the Wizards, you will always sign with another team after ur 3rd or 4th year. (Y)

Green doesn't mind playing off the bench and we need a solid scorer leading the second team so I like Green as my sixth man. :)

Free Agency

Seattle Stealth Sign Three Players

The Seattle Stealth splashed their money out on some risky investments with veteran PG Jason Kidd returning to his Oakland roots at the age of 36. He will be joined by 31 year old C Jamaal Magloire and 26 year old PF David Lee.

With the trading away of last season’s starting PG Russell Westbrook to Charlotte, the Stealth were able to come away with the signature of Kidd, a legend of his generation. Kidd’s contract runs for 4 years with a unique no trade clause, which will take him all the way to the age of 40. Magloire signed on for 2 years while Lee, a former Knick, also signed for 4 years.

Portland Trailblazers Pull Off Signing Coup

After having just clawed into the 2009 NBA playoffs, the young Portland Trailblazers realized that they needed some veteran help. The Blazers’ wish for help was answered over the free agency period as the franchise pulled off the remarkable feat of signing two All-Star players. Steve Nash and Carlos Boozer agreed to join the Blazers; Nash for one season and Boozer for five.

“This is great news for Portland, we now have two great players who can line up next to Brandon Roy who is already an All-Star caliber talent and Greg Oden who we expect big things from,” Portland’s General Manager Sam Presti stated. Nash will start at PG for the Blazers and it is anticipated that LeMarcus Aldridge will now come off the bench in order for Boozer to start at PF.

Memphis Grizzlies Stockpile Roster

Lamar Odom and Shawn Marion were always compared to each other as versatile forwards who could do a little bit of everything. So when it came down to picking which player they wanted more, the Grizzlies opted to sign both of them. Odom and Marion each signed 44 million dollar contracts that run for four years, to join a team that already features Rudy Gay at the SF position.

Bucks Take A Gamble

The Milwaukee Bucks signed PF Charlie Villanueva to a five year contract and made a gamble on PG Stephon Marbury; signing the mercurial guard to a four year deal. Bucks GM John Hammond spoke about the deal, “Charlie was a player we really wanted to stick around. Stephon is a guy we think is what we are missing right now. I really think he is what we need to make it back to the postseason.”

Marbury will start alongside Michael Redd, Andrew Bogut, Villanueva, and Richard Jefferson in a star-studded lineup. Many are feeling that this Bucks team will have the firepower to become relevant again.

League News

Hornets Ready To Defend Championship

New Orleans is ready to prove that their 2009 NBA Championship was a result of hard work and not that of luck. Chris Paul, the League’s reigning MVP, told reporters at preseason camp, “We are for real. We have a team that is going to be a dynasty.” The Hornets did well for themselves by picking up Drew Gooden over the offseason; to add an extra body in an already tough frontcourt.

Moses Chara Thinks He Is An All-Star

Without having played a single minute, Sacramento’s Moses Chara is already telling everyone to vote for him for next February’s All-Star Game. “I’m an All-Star,” Chara stated during the Kings’ media day, “I am the kind of player that the Kings needed back at the start of this decade. I would have helped Webber, Bibby, and that lot win a title. All that was missing was someone like me.”

Chara was impressive as he averaged 24.5 ppg, 7.2 rpg, and 4.5 apg during Summer League play, vowing that he would not player in a Summer League game again, “The talent was not what I expected. I only played because I’m a rookie and our team needed some exposure but next season, the Kings shouldn’t count me in to play at an event like that.”

Wade: Why Did Everyone Leave?

After a successful season campaign over 2008-09, Ben Gordon and Shawn Marion both opted not to resign with the Miami Heat. That decision confuses star SG Dwyane Wade. “I don’t understand,” Wade spoke in an exclusive interview, “We were so close to getting to the Finals and both Ben and Shawn jumped ship. I am very disappointed.”

With both players gone, it means that PG Mario Chalmers and PF Michael Beasley will need to step up this season. Both players were rookies last season with Beasley a candidate for Rookie of the Year while Chalmers was a candidate for the Sixth Man award.

It's not like Ben and Matrix were doing anything to help Wade. Good loss is a gain. Chalmers and Beasley sure can improve on their departure.

Kidd? That's a downgrade from Westbrook but I guess addition of Lee compensates for that. At age of 37+, I don't expect any point guard to be good. Kidd's no exception.

Adam Morrison should be on the bench while Green starts. Well, either way, I think the team's gonna fail short this year with the current roster. If KD steps up big time, it'll be a different story. I'm suspecting a major trade coming up.

Grizzlies made quite a few werid singings I must admit... both Lamar and Marion are sixth men... and the Bucks won't do much better than last season. I don't think they will.

Ben averaged 22 ppg, close to Wade's average... Matrix was averaging 15 ppg... They both helped Miami to the Eastern Conference Finals! What do you mean they didn't help???

Well, it's either your boy KD leaves or Westbrook leaves, in the end I stuck with Durant so you better be happy!!!

Ben's 22 ppg and Matrix's 15 ppg can be replaced easily with their asking money, I believe. Besides, Ben's a SG which is Wade's spot and Matrix, I don't think he's a good mix with Wade. What Wade needs is a big man and good defenders around him. :) Hope they can go all the way this year.

Damn... Ok. Hope Kidd will teach KD with his experience.

And yeah. Team's already got many new faces. I guess no major trade unless they play really sucky.

Wade and Gordon were starting together in the backcourt. Ben Gordon and Matrix won't be easuly replaced, you can trust me on that, it's a video game after all and the virtual Heat did nothing to improve their team.

It's great that KD remains a Stealth. You have to keep him at all cost. He set a record in Rook vs Soph game and won Horse contest. Something notheworthy that he's even a capable superstar in a real life as well, while Westbrook is just a good point guard with bit of potential. No question you did the right thing. Now... only if you could make a trade to land Wade in Seattle...... :applaud:
