Ah so you're doing fake rookies. Meridith looks like just what the Sonics need. Love the Thunder article. Hopefully you can develop OKC-SEA into the league's most epic rivalry.

Generic rookies are the only way to go. I find them more realistic since you'll have your 2nd Round steals & you also don't have preset notions/expectations, as you do with rookies based on real life prospects. To each their own, but generics have more personality/character than the real thing :P

Thierry •, Hopefully not. If I ended up with him, I'd definitely have a problem in terms of getting rid of Thompson or Cousins. That would mean I'd have to pretty much rebuild my team again. Definitely not my goal ;)

Lamrock, everybody would take him with the first pick, but as I said above, I don't plan to get him and don't want him as I think the big rebuild has already been done during the Sacramento days.

The X, same for me. I don't like how things can just change so fast and then a guy who is now said to be drafted at 5 will take over in your D and next year in real life he will be a 2nd rounder. Generated rookies are just better for me now.

dare, I hope so ;)

Shank, I will post a "real" scouting report about him for sure, the interview was just an introduction as I think he can play a big part in my fictional NBA world of the future.

B-Diddy & co went for their 2nd straight win at home against the Sonics.

Dropping two has never been so nice ...
Sonicsfan88 for Sonics.com

It was definitely another bad two game streak for the Seattle Supersonics, as our squad was not able to pull away with a win @Los Angeles visiting the Clippers, neither took it's chances to grab a home win over the Bulls this week. But I tell you one thing, loosing has never been so nice before. For every Sonics fan it was all about "When will Tyreke be back?".

On Thursday against the Bulls Tyreke sat behind the Sonics' bench just once again, but the mood in the arena certainly rose when he told NBA today sideline reporter Doris Burke that he has been cleared to play against the Pacers on Tuesday.

"We really used conservative methods, that early in my career, I don't want to rush injuries. Things fall back on you, you know. We (Evans and Coach Hova) don't want to experience that. I'm 100% now and started working out yesterday. I'll be back on Tuesday", Evans said before the game against the Bulls.

The Sonics once again showed how they miss him, not only on offense, where his 25.0 points and 5.5 assists per game are definitely not replaceable, but also on defense, where he stands as the best perimetre defender together with Antoine Wright

Where's the D?

Some guys on the Sonics' roster would definitely have a funny name when you consider how they played against the Clippers and especially against the Bulls. Beno U_rih? Carl Lan_ry? How about Sam _Alembert?

The Clippers were coming into their second straight home game winning one of their last 10. Still they were able to grab a 9 point lead in the first which they never gave up to cruise to a 90-105 win.
Blake Griffin had a big night as he scored 20 points and grabbed 15 boards, shooting 10-15 from the field. The 6-9 power forward, officially listed as a rookie is averaging 15 and 9 this season so far and seems to get better with every game he plays in this league.

"He's a handful to guard", Sonics' Carl Landry said after the game. "The kid is 21 years old but I swear his body is the one of a 27-28 year old. A "in your prime" body", Landry added.

On the other side, Sonics rookie Demarcus Cousins had 10 points and 11 rebounds, but had to leave the floor in the 4th after spraining his ankle. Landry had 18 and 12.

But Seattle was missing another big night from Omri Casspi who only shot 1-5 from downtown for 14 points.

"In this game, turnovers were our biggest issue, we lost the ball about 20 times, that is just too much. I hope with 'reke (Evans) back, we will be able to get more security into our set plays", Coach Hova said later.

'Reke still out, Brewer on fire

Against the Bulls, a team that was only ranked 10th in the East at 6-8 after trying to integrate a lot of new players, the Sonics were not able to bounce back.

Led by 30 points from offseason acquistion Ronnie Brewer, the Bulls outscored the Sonics by 15 in the last grabbing a 122-95 road win.

"They were simply on fire but I think they can also thank us for our poor defensive effort", team co-captain Francisco Garcia, who scored 10 points and shot 3-6 from downtown, said later.

The Sonics were also missing Demarcus Cousins who rolled his ankle in the last quarter against the Clippers and sat out against Chicago.

"We did not want him to play through the pain against the Bulls, so I decided to give him a rest. He will be back against Indiana", Coach Hova told media before the game.

Carl Landry had another double double with 27 points and 13 rebounds and Omri Casspi added 22 points, but the Bulls hit .500% from the field and outscored the Sonics in three of four quarters.

Derrick Rose scored 24 points and had 6 dimes, Carlos Boozer had 19 and 6 boards. Still, the Bulls haven't made the jump into the playoff seeds, underachieving so far this season.

Looking forward

Let's hope our Sonics can now finally show their full potential with Evans returning and Cousins being at 100% again.

Against the Pacers, a win seems possible. Indiana is at a very decent 9-6, but dropped 5 ouf their last 10 as they lost All-Star Danny Granger with a broken hand.

After the game against the Pacers, the Sonics will enter December with some tough tasks. A home game against Dallas will follow a road game against the Lakers. Another trip to L.A. against the Clippers and two home games against Washington and the Heat will round their five game programme for the beginning of December.

Mavs, Lakers, Heat? Sounds pretty tough for our Sonics.

"Everything is possible when we stay healthy", upcoming star Omri Casspi says. We hope he's right. Stay tuned and read every recap on Sonics.com.

Landry had 2 big games, I'm glad to see that. :)

I think Haslem being out would mean more to the real-life Heat then the virtual one. Sucks anyway.

Sonics soar past Pacers in Evans' comeback

Sam Dalembert had three swats and a season-high 4 steals in Seattle's home win.

SEATTLE, NOVEMBER 29th (AP) - Evans returns and helps Sonics to win over Granger-less Pacers.

The Sonics know the Pacers' problems oh so well. After playing 12 games without the face of their reinstitutionalized Seattle franchise, the Sonics definitely understand how much a team can miss it's best player.

The Pacers did miss Danny Granger, whose broken ulna required surgery and who will miss the next four to five weeks. Only 84 scored points definitely showed their lack of fire power, especially from downtown where the Pacers only hit one of their 18 attempts.

"Without Danny (Granger), we miss the right mixture on offense. Roy (Hibbert) can't do it all alone, our perimeter scoring has to improve if we want to stay in the Playoff race", Coach O'Brien said after the game.

The Pacers have dropped 6 of their last 10 and four in a row. Roy Hibbert has been able to put up solid scoring inside, but so far it hasn't been enough for the struggling Pacers. The 7-2 center put up 22 points and added 15 rebounds, once again playing better than his averages of 14.1 points and 7 boards per game.

Apart from Hibbert, only Danthay Jones (22) and James Posey (11) scored in double figures for Indiana.

And the Sonics? In the first two quarters it seemed like the comeback of Tyreke Evans helped them more mentally than on the court as the sophomore guard only hit 2 of his first 10 shots.
Evans played a well all-around game though and finished with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists (season high) as he shot 4-13 from the field and 6-7 from the line.

"I did not find my rhythm early and decided to pass the ball more. Honestly, I want to score by myself and take it to the whole. But if I can't hit nothing, I gotta give up the ball. That's the game, you like it or not", Evans said afterwards.

Omri Casspi was one of those guys profiting from these passes. He scored 24 points. Another big contributor was Sam Dalembert. The Haitian big man, who only scored 3.2 points per game before the game had 14 points, 10 of them in the Sonics' big run in the second quarter. He also added 12 boards and 3 blocks.

"For us this game showed how good we can be. We scored 100 only for the second time this season and really moved the ball well", Sonics headcoach Hova said after the game.

The Coach was also pleased with Beno Udrih who had 9 dimes. Rumours are spreading around that the Sonics are looking to add a point guard of starting calibre, but Hova did not want to talk about it.

The Sonics will now head to Los Angeles to play the Lakers.

NOTES: The Sonics had a season-high 28 assists ... The Pacers bench was outscored by the Sonics bench 22-26 ... Roy Hibbert had 15 boards, 5 on the offensive end ... Tyreke Evans led the Sonics in +/- with +22 ... Sam Dalembert took a season-high 13 shots and hit 7 of them ... Coach Hova gave at least 8 minutes to each of his players ... Sonics now rank 4th in the Pacific Division with 4-12 ... Pacers are still 2nd in the Central Division at 9-7 ... Francisco Garcia hit 2-2 threes and has hit 13 of 26 over the season so far ...

The X, He's definitely a star player in this game. His drive is really unstoppable at times and even when he does not hit his shots, he's still my best ball handler (a 91 handling rating!) and the quickest guy on the floor.

███ Parker signs contract extension with Spurs
SAN ANTONIO (AP)

French veteran guard Tony Parker and the San Antonio Spurs have agreed on a contract extension.Parker, who would have become a free agent next offseason will stay with the Spurs for another four years. The paper will approximately earn him 60M $ over four years until the 2015 campaign. The move came a bit surprising even for insiders as Parker was supposed to test his value on the free agency market and dealt with moving on to another team, the Knicks being the first contender.
The frenchman is averaging 17.6 points, 5.7 assists per game and shoots .487% from the floor this season, but the Spurs are only at .500% so far (10-10).

"I'm glad that the Spurs were willing to let me stay with the organization and I hope we can continue winning and keep our core together", the 28-year old said.

███ Heat extend winning streak to nine as Wade returns from injury
MIAMI (AP)

The Miami Heat keep the league in amazement as they won their 9th straight game beating Milwaukee on the road 98-95. Miami won all four games since the return of South Beach superstar Dwyane Wade, who scored 27, 23, 42 and 33 in these four games. He is averaging 30.3 points per game (but only played six games this season) and LeBron James is adding 29.5 points per game.

Combined with Chris Bosh's 25.5 points per game the "Thrice" is averaging 85.3 points, 23.2 rebounds and 9.6 assists per game.
The Heat rank first in the Eastern Conference with 17 wins and 5 losses.

"This is just the beginning. We're getting better each day, each game. Guys gotta fear us out there, the Thrice is rolling", King James responded after being questioned how good this team can be.

███ LeBron, Durantula named Player of the Month November
NEW YORK (AP)

The NBA announced it's players and roookies of the month November and to no one's surprise Kevin Durant and LeBron James took home the honors after their stellar play past month.
Kevin Durant was averaging 29.7 points, 9.1 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game in November, leading his team to a league best 15-3 record.

LeBron James kept a Wade-less Heat team in the race as he posted 29.5 points, 7.3 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game.

The Eastern Rookie of the month award went to Sixers guard Evan Turner (17.5 ppg, 6.4 rpg, 4.8 apg), whilst Wesley Johnson (13.4 ppg, 6.4 rpg, 1.1 apg) took home the Western award.

███ Celtics guard Bradley drawing interest
BOSTON (AP)

Avery Bradley, the Celtics' Nr. 19 pick in the draft in drawing interest from more than just one team as Celtics insiders affirmed. The 6-3 points guard out of Texas, whose draft stock fell immensely because of an ankle injury has totally rehabilitated and is showing major progress in team practice. Still Bradley is only seeing limited minutes (9.4 minutes per game) behind All-Star Rajon Rondo and Nate Robinson

"I'm glad to be with the Celtics. I can learn a lot here, you don't get to play with so many All-Stars every day", Bradley told on the Celtics media day last week.

Still the rookie could be a decent fit for teams looking for a defensive-minded, athletic guard. The Pistons, Sonics and Bobcats are said to be among teams interested.

███ Spencer considers NBA as the "next logical step"
WINSTON-SALEM (AP)

Wake Forest college star Darryl Spencer recently made comments about his and the team's future. Being asked wether or not he sees his team in contention for this year's Final Four, Spencer told NCAAtalk.com that he does not think that his team has what it takes to win it all.

"I doubt that we can reach the Final Four since we have a very young team and - apart from myself - no real scorer", Spencer said.

The 6-6 guard leaned towards playing in the NBA after finishing his sophomore season. "I'm ready for this, definitely", he said. Spencer is averaging 17.4 points and 5.4 assists per game.

Martti., Wade has only played 6 games this season and averages 3.3 apg. But I found Miller to be the problem. The assists rating in the game is f* up. I changed many guys' rating.
Miller is averaging more than 5 apg ... unrealistic.

Some examples: Paul Pierce: IRL: ~3 apg -> in the game his passing rating is about 40-50 ... that's just not realistic, just because he's a scorer doesn't mean he can't pass the ball. So I changed most of the ratings now, but it will take a while until you can see it in the stat sheet.

Valor, definitely, but with Evans it's possible. He opens up my game.
