As outlined in the NBA 2K11 manual, online multiplayer support for NBA 2K11 was scheduled to be turned off in November 2011, but as announced on 11/01/2011, 2K Sports decided to leave servers for NBA 2K11 on until April 2012. The servers have stayed on up through this date but on July 31st, 2012 at midnight EST, they will be discontinued.

Hey guys,
Just wanted to let you know that the servers for 2K11 will be shutting down in the next few weeks, and could happen as early as 11/16. Keep this in mind when completing your achievements, etc. Thank you in advance.

We are shutting them down because as Jeff said, different code bases make 2K11 & before arbitrary

Change of plans, apparently. Online services for NBA 2K11 will be available until April 2012.

So it means 2K12 will still have the usual crappy online instead of a bit lesser crappy online until April 2012.



I'm no spelling nazi but I think that perfectly shows 2K's quality online service when they can't even spell a damn word right.
