Trouble with quick play and plays dissapearing

Just started a new my player with a point gaurd for xbox 360. I'm about 44 games in on the season and have been starting at point gaurd for about 40 of those games. Ive noticed that the plays are called automaticly when i'm running point but half of them dissapear as soon as you stand in the first circle to begin the play. The direction arrows flash on the floor for a second and go away. Whats with this? This never happend in my other my player creation for 2k11. Also i cant run any quick plays. Anyone have this problem? thanks for the help!

It also seems like the degree of difficulty is rediculous... i went from quadruple double 80 point games on pro to losing by 40 every game on the next up on difficulty. Even when i'm not on the floor. with a good team agaisnt a bad team. My team gave up 36 point in the 4th when i got back in the game. seems like the game doesnt play the same as before. opponents shoot like 80 percent my team shoots like 30. Whats the dillio?
