No Sound on my NBA 2k11

I borrowed the 2k11 (PC) of my friend, it was installed succesfully and I can play on it but It doesnt have any sound.

maybe your speakers are turned off.. check the control panel if its in mute... for some reason, my pc mutes when i press the CTRL key...

or in your presentation settings ( in the game itself) , check to see if the sounds are off...

i don't know if it has any relation to you problem but you can check your directx settings and check the sound tab... to go there, run "dxdiag" without quotations on start --> run...

if it is a burned copy of the game, well.. you got burned...

Updating DirectX seems to be the solution to this problem.

I already have a DirectX 10.

All my speakers and all are Turned on but still, I'm not really sure if its legit because I only borrowed it though it looks very legit.

the fake on does not install direct X.. it only install game but not package of direct X..

I have directX 11, and yet there's no sound. What can I do. Everything else I think is okay. except for the sounds.
In XP there's sound. But when I switch to Windows 7, there's no sound.
I have installed the xinput1_3.dll.

we have a sane problem bro, my direct x is updated also but no still no sound, i format my computer and copy my game in drive c. when i start to play there's no sound. but other game has sound. is there a connection when you deleted the files inside cached folder in 2k11 save folder?
