No date yet, just gives up the details
FlashSo we get:
Real Physics
No Canimations
Real AI
ESPN Integration
The "Full" 4th Quarter of the Lakers Celtics game 7
Create the Become Legendary player
Jordan Draft Shocase
Get Drafted
Work on skills/Tutorial mode
The last graphic shows us the difficulty settings, 5 on 5, 1 on 1, and Practice, so those should be included some how too.
Just by all of those modes this demo is better than 2K11's....but gameplay is what causes the money to get spent...not harddrive space.

Too much for one demo? Not a chance, considering how limited demos usually are and the stripped down NBA 2K11 demo. Definitely a creative idea going for the fourth quarter of Game 7, eschewing the usual approach of a two or four minute game from the opening tip. For a demo, we should get a really good look at the game sans Dynasty Mode and Dynamic Season; here's hoping the gameplay holds up.
All in all, it sounds awesome. Can't wait.

your right, you cant get any limited demo than nba 2k11, only pick lakers what up with that? this game should be good.

This isn't really a demo, more of a slice of the game. IMO it's too much.. EA is panicking, so they smash up a good demo to show off their new features, while all 2k needs to show is the presentation..

Nothing wrong with that much in a demo IMO.

Really its not. EA is in the hot seat right now and they have no other choice but to risk it all. I hope they let us play around with the sliders like we were able to in the Live 08 demo. Did anybody notice the spin move and 360? Lol thats something new Ive never seen b4. I bet someone would be hella dizzy after trying that.

By definition, isn't that what a demo is? This just happens to a bigger slice than normal.

So, they shouldn't try to compete and win back fans? I really don't see how this is a problem or too much. This is an example of how EA can't win; they go all out and they're being desperate and that's a bad thing. If they gave us a regular, more limited demo then they'd be accused of being lazy or unimaginative and that's a bad thing.

A demo is to try out the gameplay, not to have everything in 1

I for one am looking forward to it. It makes perfect sense to include as much as they have. What EA is trying to do is get players to feel a connection to the game. By giving us practice mode & a full 12 minute quarter, it does just that. And besides, who doesn't want to try & win with the C's rather than blow game 7 & let Artest dominate? EA is giving gamers a proper chance to learn the controls & 'feel' the new game.
Whether it works or not is another thing, but I think it should be applauded

I'd disagree. For me, a demo is suppose to give me an idea of what the game will be like & whether it is worth purchasing. 2k's demo just didn't do that for me. No plays, no commentators, such a short 4 minute quarter, playing with only Lakers, so you can't tell if teams feel different.
Adding practice mode to allow players to learn the controls then you get to run a full 12 minutes is huge in my eyes. I usually make my buy decision from one game of a demo. If I have questions, then I'll pass. I'm undecided on what to purchase this year. 2k demo played alright but didn't sell me. Granted, good Association Mode insight might. But you never know, Elite's demo could swing me the other way, especially considering 2k has been stale for a few years (I've had 2k6 to 2k10 & haven't had Live since '06 on PC).

But not everything is included. There's one quarter of gameplay and a snippet of a new mode that's being introduced. That's far from everything and ample opportunity to test out the gameplay. One of the common complaints of demos is that they're too short to really get a feel for the gameplay. With a full twelve minute quarter and the Jordan scouting game, we'll hopefully get a better taste of the gameplay. That's a good thing.

Yeah, and considering the fact that 2K10's demo didn't have a hint of My Player mode, Elite 11 knows how to bring out their demo.
Sun Sep 19, 2010 1:55 pm
I'm very impressed with what they are bringing to the table. And while I was excited to play 2K11, I knew what I was getting with that game....Elite 11 has me intrigued but skeptical, I can't wait to play it. This is really the first time a basketball game's purchase is going to be decided by a demo for me. Live 10 was dead in the water for me due to the 2K additions and everything before that was a must buy or a PC version.

Anyone who thinks a limited demo is a good thing must be missing a big slice of his brain. IMO.

No thats not an opinion. Thats a fact.

Hopefully Elites demo will be better than the gameplay shit we've seen

I'd disagree that all the videos so far have been terrible but yes, hopefully the gameplay is up to scratch and as good as advertised.

From whwt I've noticed, is that the full game never plays like the demo
