NBA Elite 11 Notes (EASBA, Dunks, More)

I've culled a few more notes on NBA Elite 11 from Yaw's Twitter.

No adidas Live Run this year, EASBA is its replacement:

There is no adidas Live Run this year. EASBA replaces it this year. You will learn more about this soon...

Some players will have signature dunks and we can edit vertical leap ratings.

Certain players have signature dunks this year. Regarding the demo we will have something to announce about that soon...

Veritical ratings can be edited in ELITE.

We can't choose what kind of dunk we want to perform (a la NBA 2K's shot stick)...

With dunks for ELITE this year you can't control what type of dunk to do. The dev team wanted to do this...

unfortunately there wasn't enough time.

...but in case anyone still wasn't clear, we can still choose whether we want to perform a dunk or layup.

Dunks aren't automatic. As the user you decide whether player will perform a dunk or a layup. It's not canned anymore

And as mentioned in an above Tweet, no release date for the demo as yet but an announcement is coming soon.

pretty much all good information. I kinda feel like they should have kept Live Run in the game for pick up games but I'm sure that High School starting arena will be based off of that live run one.
Opinions are my own.

Yeah, I can see some people being upset that Live Run isn't the game but seems the EASBA is the next step for OTP and indeed I seem to remember reading some complaints last year from people that preferred the original OTP concept to Live Run. I'm not sure they'd be able to please everyone even if they kept all three concepts in the game, probably not being able to get each concept the way everyone feels it should be. Hopefully EASBA will prove to be the best compromise and the right concept moving forward.

OTP is like live run but with NBA teams right? they had that in Live 10, but for some reason, I liked live run more... probably because everybody got to pick their favorite superstar, unlike most NBA teams with 1 or 2 stars.

Correct, OTP was just regular NBA teams. That was definitely the point of Live Run, to allow people to play superstar pickup games (if desired) and not have to assume control of a role player unless they wanted to.
